    • Did yours also make a ticking/clicking noise coming from the amplifier with the green light on the control box faintly flashing in time with the clicks?

Mine was a super easy fix, but it could have also easily damaged it beyond a fixable state. I didn't use a soldering iron - I did a solder reflow using a heat gun, which is basically waving a powerful hair dryer over the the front and back of the circuit board to the point where the solder will slightly melt and reflow itself into the connections. Before doing this it's a good idea to remove all the wires, connectors, stickers and other bits of plastic that would melt or burn before a reflow is achieved.

In hindsight I should have just taken the soldering iron and just reballed the relay pads first, and then if that didn't work try the reflow.

I honestly think I was lucky to have got them to work with that fix. Then again if you got a refund for the same price you paid then it's probably for the best.

My set are still working, and I now have a backup set thanks to this deal now also.

      • Nah no ticking or clicking noise, green light remained constant no flickering or flashing.

In case anyone else bought the Windows 8 Pro 32 Bit DVD - OEM, I can confirm the key works with Windows 8.1 Pro 32 and 64 bit ISO, and therefore you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro 32 or 64 bit.

    • Download the Windows 8.1 Pro 32bit or 64bit ISO direct from Microsoft, and burn that to a DVD or USB:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-8/create-reset-re…

    • You can then install Windows using the Windows 8.1 Pro DVD / USB you just created, along with the key that you get with the JB Hifi copy of Windows.

    • Then download the Windows 10 32bit or 64bit ISO direct from Microsoft, and burn that to a DVD or USB, and use that to upgrade:

    • Thanks for that!!!
You just saved me a mountain of time & uncertainty.

      • No probs ;)

  • Should work with a G3 right?
