6" screen.. god damn. 5.5" is already too big for a phone.

god damn. 5.5" is already too big

      That's what… nah

New Nexus should be only a few weeks away though.

    "NEXARSE" hahahaha

I like your code more than the actual deal.

    Great phone and great deal

  • this would be tempting.
    Which is the better deal?
    The Nexus 6 or
the LG G4 which is now about the same price with the ebay discount.

  • Good price, unfortunately too big for me… TA see if you can get a deal on the Oneplus Two next time ;)

  • +1

Great phone, but a little big for my tiny pockets.

$599 on ebay less ~ $15 from cash rewards. So your deal still works out about $10 cheaper.

    • Mobileciti is still making the same profit on this deal interestingly.

They pay 4% commission on every sale to Ebay which is $24 on the $599 Nexus bringing it down to $575 on their regular site.

Most stores use this pricing model.

Money better spent on a new LG G4..

    • Australian stock vs grey import though.

What I like about the nexus is what missing from the lg. Vanilla Android and front facing speakers. The main advantage the lg has is better camera. The next nexus will hopefully be better in every way over the current gen flagships. That's probably being optimistic judging by previous nexus generations.

      • The G4 is pretty vanilla… barely touched when compared to say Samsungs Touchwiz. I'm happy with my G4, find overall feel very much like my Nexus 5 yet with some enhancements that improve overall experience.

        • Vanilla has the advantage of getting the latest versions of android when they're released, not 3-6 months later. Especially when the phone gets older and the manufacturer decides to neglect their older phones.

        • @Ronnnie: Yep understand that.. wifey still doesn't want to upgrade from Kitkat on her N5 though as it's fast and reliable.

          Updates are not everything.

this is a pretty interesting size comparison to the iphone 6 plus, the nexus is undoubtedly larger, but not by very much!

The good thing about this sized phone is that in the event you get to the beach and realise somebody forgot to pack the cricket bat, you have a very workable solution in the palm of your hand.

You're not going to need a ruler anymore.
The convenient 6" screen limits it to a 'yes' or 'no' answer…

    • +1

This feels like a penis joke but I'm not sure

      • Problem is… I ain't sure either :-\

    • +2

You'd have to put it on diagonally.

  • A + just for the code!

    wondering when u have xperiarse

  • Anyone got a link for the LG g4 aus stock good price or note 4?

  • Great deal TA, but the age old statement remains ('wait for the new one if you don't need right now'), especially since a new one is imminent: http://bgr.com/2015/08/24/huawei-nexus-6-2015-real-photos/

    • i really don't get their naming scheme..

the new ones are nexus 5 and nexus 6.. but haven't they already been released? the names ie.

      • The names are relative to the size of the screen.

        • I think the nexus 6 looks alot better than the new nexus 5(?)

        • so they just reuse the name?

        • @CVonC: Nobody knows how Google will name these new Nexuses, it's just speculation and the media using nicknames at the moment.

        • -1

          @victorwilson: >nexuses
          its Nexii

Also the name is based off the screen size

So 2015 model will be Nexus 5 and 6 2015

or The NEW Nexus 5/6 if you want to follow apple's faggotry

        • @furythree: Hahaha nexii? What?!

          Apparently:
          Nexus or Nexuses
          Nexuses
          Nexus or Nexuses

        • -1

          @furythree:

Nexii sounds pretty faggotry, so we'll use nexuses.

  • By local warranty do you mean Google's or the store's own warranty?

  • +3

    Wouldn't mind a deal on the Z3 Compact :D

  • Anyone know where I can grab the 64gb version of this phone for a reasonable price? Seems you have to pay at least $200 more everywhere I look…

    • Amazon.fr Was ~$650 shipped last week. Although now with the crashing AU$ its probably ~$680. Put it in your cart and it removes VAT. The phones sourced from amazon themselves can be shipped to Australia.

Incidentally, the new Moto X Style 32GB (w/mSD expansion) is also about this mark imported from the UK (Clove/Handtec) (vs. $792 locally via Vodafone when it launches).

For the same price I'm going to go for probably the Moto X Style, though am holding out for details of the Huawei Nexus as well.

  • Ahhh so tempted if I wasn't committed to getting the new iPhone, would definitely pick this up.

  • Any good deal on LG G4 mobile?

  • If you are thinking to buy it then my humble advice is, think again, better check it out first in a store if you haven't, these days I have got 14 mobile devices s that I am testing my new mobile app on and Nexus 6, 9 and Sony Xperia Z3 are the ones that look like the first or second generation touchscreen devices. no issues on performance but it is all about aesthetics, design and user experience, they are simply do no standup to the competition. If I had to buy a big screen phone then I would prefer Note 4 over Nexus 6

  • Nexus 6 only has a four-year lifespan.
