  • USD or AUD?

  • I am tempted to by the lenovo K3 note, but read somewhere it is not for everyone, as one needs to reboot, got unwanted wares downloaded etc ? Can it be used out of the box ?

Read whirlpool - there are some very clean roms for the K3 now

    • Dude the ROW ROM is very clean and stable. See comments in other deals of these phones.

    • I bought one recently and I was worried about getting ROMs etc, but it was a walk in the park. So easy. Especially if you go for the stock ROW ROM its easy, just follow the steps on the websites everyone has recommended.

    • It can be used out of the box, but it is……painful.

Re Lenovo k3 Note - plenty of rom development as there is also a big development community over at XDA and Reddit
    https://www.reddit.com/r/lenovok3note/
Ordered one about a week ago from Gearbest on the slow boat from China. With Paypal exchange rates it came to $218.24 AUD. Took a week to ship and tracking has just started.
If you want it quick try Vickmall. Cost you about A$260 but you will probably have it within a week
If you are not interested in changing roms there are plenty tutorials on removing or freezing bloatware with Titanium

  • What's new in this post?
I've been following the Lenovo K3 on GearBest for weeks as I want to buy it, and it's been at the same price published here. There's nothing really new or any sale, that's the REGULAR price of that phone in many other websites.

      Same thing with Meizu M2
This post is just publicity for GearBest, should be removed in my opinion as those are regular prices

      • I agree these phones are not better but the elephone one is the best price I have seen anywhere.

  • Those bezels…

  • Does the Elephone work with all AUS networks?

  • Please Xiaomi note offer

K3 note is a decent phone, just don't expect much from the camera.. I find it pretty poor.
For everything else though it's not a bad phone. Just make sure you follow the instructions when flashing the ROM. I didn't and lost the IEMI on the phone. Took a while of reading and then rooting the phone to fix it.

I will probably end up buying another phone when I find the right one that ticks all the right boxes.
But for the price of this phone I would say it is worth it.

  • I believe the M2 Note has a superior screen over the K3 note even though the resolutions are identical. Prices are average indeed.

  • Any review on huawei p8 lite? Price looks good just not sure on performance.

  • Do anyone know if the Meizu M2 is a Chinese or international version?

    • International version is a better bet. If the normal version is of a concern to you, frequency wise… check out the link I posted earlier here.

  • Dont forget 8% cash back and use USPC to get extra $30 off on 300+

  • Beware all, I bought a pre-order P8000, still not shipping… cancelled the order as its already 4 weeks late! Also there is a better deal on the Xioami elsewhere on ozbargain (today)
