McDonald's Apple Pie $1.50 Loose Change Menu

111

Saw this advertised. Not the healthiest choice but a nice snack for on the go. Even better at this price, usually around $3.

i guarantee they will increase the frozen coke to $1.50 in summer……

          Bite your tongue !!!

        • and then someone will post it as a bargain.

  • +3

    usually around $3.
    When? where?

  • +3

they were $1 for the longest time under the loose change menu, until they raised the price in the last few months. Nice to see it back on the loose change menu now, but would rather it be $1 again.

    • +4

So why is a 50% price increase a bargain ?

      • Apparently OP has been paying a premium haha.

Been like that for ages. Rip off

    From their website :

"APPLE PIES are produced in a plant that also produces products containing sesame seeds"

Since when do Apple Trees produce sesame seeds ????

    • Since when do Apple Pies only contain apple?

    • +10

Apple Trees don't, Apple Pie Trees do.

      • -1

what do money tree's contain then

        • +1

          chlorophyll

        • @Lukian:
          photosynthesis

        • @tuzii: That's something they do, not something they contain!

        • @Lukian:
i know that but they need it.

        • @tuzii: to produce sesame seeds? ;)

        • @Lukian:
          give me a money tree

        • @tuzii: Crassula ovata or Pachira aquatica?

        • @Lukian: i have both in the garden, they just cost me money

If this was a joke, it's not a bad one, and I applaud it.

On the off-chance that it's not, I'll point out that by plant, they mean factory, and leave it at that.

      • I'll point out that by plant, they mean factory, and leave it at that.

And by factory, they mean the Apple factory used to make iPhones and iPods etc

  • Been this price for a while. The $1 price ended at the end of last year around me, usually had to buy a value meal to get it for that too.

  • Chicken burger, hold the mayo, is not so unhealthy. Add the pie and its a cheap generous lunch.
Add the frozen coke if you are a manual labourer, or want to be super-size.

  • +2

    This is the normal price.

    Not a deal

  • its been $1.5 for months

  • Not $1 but good to see the price has been dropped back down a little…I have an unhealty love for these deep fried packages of "apple". I was sad when they were removed from the loose change menu and priced at $2.75-2.95

  • +2

Been like this for months. Also when I first got it they charged full price. It was only when I looked at the receipt that i noticed. I asked to speak with the manager and she gave me some bs that it's only $1.50 in a meal and wouldn't refund me the extra I paid. So make sure you check your receipt.

  • I know it was $1 in Melbourne, however in the ACT, its always been $1.50 I think. price depends on state.

    • +4

however in the ACT, its always been $1.50

That's because the politicians claim them back as expenses !!!

  • They got me hard when it was a dollar. Never used to have their apple pies much but after awhile i was hooked, then they jacked the price up and i was stuck paying that price to feed my addiction. Never again!

  • Well idont know any where else but in Chatswood rigt in front of the train station there is express mac and i mostly in the morning gets it for $1 even last time i got it was last week Wednesday.

    • Is that basically Cheeseburger with the trimmings of big macs? So like a smaller sized McFeast?

  • I just had one for $1 at Bourke St Mall.

  • how does the lose change work, i mean you can order as many pies and frzoen cokes you want right?

  • I know it's supposed to be $1.50, but last week at Macarthur Square - Campbelltown I was charged just $1. And other people are experiencing the same thing at other places. Is there a lunchtime special or something? or just lagging behind in their pricing perhaps.

    • Maybe it's a franchise store?

  • They must've changed their recipe maybe even more than once as they no longer taste as nice as when I remember years ago. Urban myth or not, I reckon Macca's used choko instead of apples in the past, and the pastry is no long fatty and crisp, it's just hard - tried one again two weekend's ago.

    • you should try eating them fresh
