  • There are two IKEA franchises in Australia, can you please specify in the title that this only applies to the Eastern States IKEA's?

  • Very cool deal :) just like the Myer deal.

  • there are two ikea franchises??? wow….

    • IKEA in the eastern states are owned by IKEA directly. The ones in WA and SA are owned by franchisees. Not sure if it's the same franchisee.

      • I think it must be as they seem to stock the same stuff.

I'm actually buying something from Melbourne Ikea when I visit in January because the Adelaide Ikea doesn't stock it and the most similar item that they do stock is $50 more!

  • Just bought my $4,500 gift voucher and got the free $450 bonus. That's a nice saving for the Ikea kitchen we will be spending them on in January :)

    • Online or in-store?
I'm only spending $150, but hey the $15 more than pays for the luggage cost to fly it home! ;-)

      • In-store. The wording of the promotion would seem to suggest you need to go into a store to get the bonus.

        • Just got a call from Ikea and you do get the extra 10% when buying online. They call you for payment details..
They charge a delivery fee to send the card by Registered Post.

  • how long before the giftcard expires?

    • Ikea gift cards never expire.

      • I got one for Christmas last year with a 12 month expiry (QLD).

        • At the time of purchasing the cards, the checkout person pointed out to me that they never expire, so perhaps they have changed their policy throughout the year. In checking the Ikea website:

"An IKEA gift card is an ideal gift for a wedding, birthday, new baby or just as a thank you. You can choose the gift card value amount, and with no expiry date, the person whom you give it to can spend it whenever they want."

  • Fair enough, I may of had something different. Can't exactly remember the terms only that I had a specific date that I needed to spend it.
