Was looking to jump on the iPhone bandwagon, came across this website selling them for 1249, don't forget about the OW price beat - i ended up getting it for 1186.55 delivered.
The other sizes are cheaper aswell.

@steff: I most probably wouldn't neg either stef - but this phone is almost superseded. There is no way any veteran OzBargainer would buy a new iPhone 6 plus now (unless it was an insurance claim). In 2 months, they'll be 60-65% of that price on eBay and Gumtree.

Why wait? it's only going to be a mid version like 6S or anything, only worthwhile going to the next "gen" like a 7.
2 reasons, price for this one should drop further when the next one is launched and you may wants to buy the greatest one when it was launched by Tim Cook when it is unveiled.

1 year and 2 months will be too long a wait, I think most peoples can wait for 2 months.
I prefer buying the s versions: all the cases and accessories are out by then as the form factor rarely changes

High priced items such as mobile phones aren't purchased by people which can afford to buy it but by people which can't afford not to buy.
Some people need a crappy iphone to feel better. I paid the ridiculous amount of money about 25 years ago because it would have cot me more not to be available for customers.

Think of Honda Jazz, Lexus, Rolls Royce, etc. Apple's hardware (except the camera) is the best you can get. It's reliable, stylish and their support is the best i've ever experienced in my life - no exceptions. Some people like that.
I've advised friends to buy Samsung, Google/Nexus and even recently some Microsoft Lumix. Having that choice is excellent!! I tailored my recommendations based on their budgets, needs and any brand loyalty or preferences they may have.
You must be kidding that apples hardware is the best you can get. Or that reliable. Stylish is a matter of taste and i won't object that but the rest is simply not true.
Support is OK but not best, having to book an appointment to be seen by a technician is not the best support IMHO
Iphones still only have 1gb of ram and are unable to do wireless charging or record 4k video.
Their selling point is their OS.Have you tried to get support from Samsung or HTC? Call a number and wait on hold for half an hour until they tell you to send in your phone for 2 weeks with no replacement, or GTFO

Well sure, but the top end Samsung has more or less the same price tag attached to it and from memory the flagship HTC devices cost a pretty penny as well.
The entire industry has gone a bit nuts with their device pricing, and unfortunately the falling AUD hasn't helped one bit.
