Is that code only for people with the $50 voucher from last deal?

    C50BACK

    • Yep, lose the voucher from the OP

      • OK, should OP should take out the $50 voucher code, nothing to do with people don't have it.

  • +4

+1 from me because the seller is definitely a trustworthy one, they have a rep on OzB and I have purchased many things from their store in Parra before.

  • Commenting on the voucher - Isn't it a targeted one? i.e. only applicable for those who have recieved it from the last months ebay deal?

    • But for $975 AU stock is pretty good deal.

      • +1

yeah, totally agree. This should fade out those ongoing OW and JB deals.

      • Yes, it's more than a good deal, it's a excellent deal even at $975.

But you have to take down the C50BACK, the code won't work for everyone.

      • Do you fetch one yourself?

    • It's gone up to $1,348.00

  • Well… you can buy it from their website

    iPhone 6+ 128G @ $969 + Shipping or local pickup

  • Tempting…but only 1G ram, think i will wait for the refresh :/

    • +1

Is RAM an issue with iOS? From what I've seen RAM doesn't seem to be as much of an issue on iOS devices then on Android… Haven't used an iPhone since iPhone 4 so I wouldn't know though.

      • +1

Of course not. The hardware and the OS are specifically designed to work together.

        • +3

If you've ever used Safari then you will know that the 1 gig ram IS an issue. You can't switch more than 2 or 3 windows before it getting refreshed. At least on the iPad Air 2 it's a bit better, but not by much.

      • +1

I have a 128GB i6 Plus and I think yes, RAM is an issue for the phone. Some of the apps, that are usually quite stable when opened on its own, crash intermittently when i have a couple (approx. 6) of other apps open. There is the occasional jitter when open and closing apps as well, which i attribute to a lack of RAM. I think the additional real estate of the 6 plus is causing a drain on resources and lament the fact that apple went with 1GB RAM for the i6 when the iPad Air 2 released with 2GB.

        • +1

That what happened with the iPad Air as well. Apps and Safari would often crash or tabs needed to be reloaded when switching. On the Air 2 the problems went away. People say iOS is optimised for less ram and works well, but you are still making a compromise. And while it may work well with this gen, what happens when iOS 9 comes out and the OS becomes more resource hungry?

        • @Ronnnie: dang should have waited for i6s plus but couldn't bear looking at the small screen any longer.

    • +1

      But can it play Crysis???

  • +5

Price has just increased by $400!

  • when you proceed to check out, price is 13xx instead of 9xx

  • Deal over.

  • What is RRP on one of these things?

    • $1449 from Apple, otherwise $1348.00

      • +3

        wow

        • The original RRP was $1249 before the Aussie dollar devalued.

      • Why would you when you can get something like a g3 which as similar if not better specs.. For $1100 less.

        • +3

It's not all about the specs. Also the Apple software, user interface and ecosystem. It looks and works beautifully.
Some people love hatches/sedans, some people love SUVs or 4WDs.

        • @malouphix: I don't like any of the things you mentioned. It's gotten better after iOS 8, but it's still restrictive. The things I expect to be able to do out of the box requires a jailbreak. No thanks.

  • Well done to those that nabbed 1 or 5.
The seller would have seen the two that they sold at the lower price and thought, ohhhh shiiiiiii.

I was the person to buy this iphone 6+ with the high price.
Fortunately, I didn't finish the final payment as I saw the price jumped up $400 more.
I should have ground to argue with eBay not to honor this purchase.

    • Good luck!

eBay will probably say bad luck and you gotta pay, in which case you'll do a mutually agree with seller to not buy this.

      • "you gotta pay". Buyer that won't pay get a strike, or something like that.

        • +3

….and a strike is not worth paying $400 more
