Apple iPad Air M3 11" Wi-Fi 128GB + Free Apple Pencil Pro $919 Delivered @ Apple Education Store (No ID Required)

630

Free Apple Pencil offer finishes on 13 March.

I guess you could call this a hack and looks to be best deal atm for brand new iPad Air 11 inch with M3 plus free Apple Pencil Pro (RRP $219)(other Air models include pencil as well). If you sell the pencil as I'm doing, you could potentially get it for $100+ cheaper (whatever you can sell the Apple Pencil Pro for), plus as an Ozbargainer, yes I used cashback, discounted gift card and TRS (think they all stack). Make sure you pick the Apple Pencil Pro (not USB-C) as that is not as good and both are free with this deal.

I ordered the iPad Air (yes for a student) but checked out as a guest. The education store required no student proof if you checkout as a guest and don't log in with your Apple ID.

  • Whats with the Canon EOS M3

  • Even if you login with your Apple ID, will they require you to provide any form of verification in order to get the education deals?

By the way, will the trade in with purchasing a new iPad ineligible your cash back via shopback?

    • +1

      Nope. Nothing needed

    • yes, but i dont believe this model is eligible anyway

  • +3

    All three Cashback providers conditions:

Cashback is ineligible on the following Ineligible Products: …. The new iPad (A16) and iPad Air 11” and 13” M3 chip, …

Also Excluded from some of them … Any Gift Card or Voucher redemption

    • Does that mean we can’t use apple gift card/cashrewards etc

  • +1

    remarkable product segmentation

ipad pro m4, ipad air m3, ipad mini a17 pro, ipad 11 a16

    • Literally only allow ppl to buy old models

    • +7

You're right but the processor doesn't really matter - they will all do the same stuff. What annoys me is 3 different compatibilities for Apple Pencils, different chassis sizes for cases, magnet positions etc.

At least they are all USB C now…

  • +6

If only the screen was 120hz ….

    • +5

Yeah this kills it sadly for many people. Apple probably just know nobody would buy pro if they give air 120hz.

      • pro can go to 180hz and air to 120 if they tried harder

    • Needs to be oled too.

  • +2

Oh man, someone PLEASE talk me out of this

    • +1

      Hop on the wagon

      • +11

        Come on guys. Ordered.

  • I ordered this last Saturday. Logged with Apple ID and still not required any proof of education (even though I have).

  • Free Pencil Pro ends 13th according to the fine print on their edu home page, iPad Air release date is 12th which is the thing that might be confusing you here

    • But you could pre order the latest iPad Air from 5th.

      • Yep?… but the free Apple Pencil Pro promo has been going on since Jan. Dunno what you're trying to get at exactly

    • Thx updated

  • Screaming deal if you can use the pencil and can also get Apple gift cards (20x EDR points!) from Woolies tonight.

I was looking at upgrading my 2024 Air but then I compared this new model to mine and whelp, apart from the slightly better M3 chip vs M2 chip, it's identical. So I shall save my pennies.

    • +1

Apple GC's from Woolies are still going on or is it finished now?

      • Finished but now there’s an even better option via QF

  • If only ipad can run dual monitors…

  • +1

Thanks - didn't know I needed it, but here I am.

Now to pass the old iPad to the family… ;)

  • Is it worth considering this if it'll be my only Apple device? Will be using it for writing notes, reading, studying, and general productivity. Wouldn't mind programming on this if that's viable. Not intending to play games or watch movies on it.

Other option is Galaxy Tab S9 which is cheaper.

    • It's the best value iPad: iPad Air.
Apple tends to do this Back to Uni/ School only once a year and this time you get an Apple Pencil Pro as a sweetener.
I ordered mine on 6th March and received the pencil today.
Tracking shows the iPad is being delivered tomorrow.

Both of mine had free custom engraving on it and still arrived on time.

  • if I didn’t buy m2 ipad air last year

  • @Captain Hindsight, This product is in exclusion of cashback rewards. How did you get cashback on this?

  • For those who missed out on the Woolies 20x points on Apple Gift Cards, you can Earn 10 Qantas points per $ spent on gift cards at the moment.

    • GC's ain't 20x anymore?

      • 20x EDR points is the same as 10x Qantas FF points (every 2 EDR points transfer to 1 Qantas FF point), if you choose to use your woolies points for QFF.

  • Any comments about storage recommendations?
Is 128 enough? I know it’s the usual story about how much will be stored on it, but this wouldn’t be a primary camera or anything like that

    • Is 128 enough?

      imo yes

    • Depends on your use case. 128gb is enough for me. I've already uninstalled a lot of the default apps (mail, calendar, GarageBand, etc) as this is mainly a media consumption device + a few games here and there.

  • So, if you checked out as a guest, you didn't load the gift cars in Apple Id? From what I have read - isn't it recommended to load GC's in Apple Id as soon as you buy them?

    • Ordered with my apple ID (not a student), both iPad Air and Pencil have been shipped. Dont really need check out as a guest.

    • Who started that recommendation? Unless you're buying stolen or illicit GCs or fear being robbed/losing them, you don't need to do this.

  • +1

thanks, got one, will work out why later :)

  • For anyone that wants the usb c pencil instead(for whatever reason):
As per their promotion t&c, the Apple Pencil usb C is also eligible.

    https://www.apple.com/au-edu/shop/browse/home/back_to_school…

Confirmed to show up during checkout as discounted for that amount.

  • so, check out as guest and it have the option to pay with gift card?
