  • All the Blurays I wanted were $24.95… not a huge bargain for me, but for those who want the $9.95 ones I guess it's cool.

  • +1

MovieXpress have always had some of the cheapest DVD prices I've seen in Australia, excellent shipping costs, and have always shipped things out immediately. In terms of service, they're hard to beat.

The problem is that their range never changes. They never get any new stock so every sale they have is for the same titles, usually at the same prices as their last sale. There's very few titles left that I would like to buy. I don't buy them only because I don't want to spend too much on them (even though they're already cheap). I feel that if they got a steady stream of new titles, they'd be a better Australian DVD store (like EzyDVD, which I believe the owners of MovieXpress helped start?).

One thing I miss from MovieXpress, and I hope they bring back and keep, is their daily DVD sale. Think Catch Of The Day, Zazz, etc. but with a different DVD title every day. I've bought from that a couple of times, and I know if it was a daily thing, I would continue to do so. At the moment, I haven't visited MovieXpress in months.

I've giving this sale a positive only because there are good deals there. Anyone that hasn't visited, should.

    Rep: New titles, please? :)

    • Big ditto.

Great prices, great shipping, good service… same crap on special every time. I've bought everything I've wanted from them 6 months ago. Haven't seen a single thing they carry since then that I want and haven't already got.

    • They're mostly the same old titles that EzyDVD did to death in their 'sales' before they went bust (must have either kept some of the stock before they went belly-up, or kept in the good books with their contacts ;).

They rely on clearance deals from the movie companies looking to get rid of old discontinued stock (which almost all their under $6 titles are) - and these deals are harder & harder to find these days.

A good deal - providing you haven't already purchased from their previous deals.
