Seeing as the Reflex deal is unobtainable for many (myself included), this Fuji Xerox A4 for $3 deal may be the next best option.

Tried this paper once, ended up throwing it out, quality does not compare to reflex.

Maybe you're not using it for it's intended purpose ;)

      • Used purely for laser printing.

It's called transit paper for a reason.

well, maybe he got confused when he heard he got a ream.

  • Xerox paper, even in my fuji xerox, is very prone to jamming.

    • I'm currently using Ditto paper from Big W (also cheap brand) through an Epson printer and have no problems.

I used this paper for both Laser and Inkjet duplex printing for University lecture notes for 4+ years and it has only jammed once with the inkjet. Make sure that you fan the paper before you load them into the printer to prevent any jams. To be honest once you throw the wrapper away it is difficult to tell which one is Reflex or Fuji.

    • Hm I've never fanned the paper before as its never jammed with reflex, but I'll do that next time I use non-Reflex paper.

Xerox papers aren't that bad, I use their 100gsm paper and my Cannon PIXMA MG 6250 prints on them just perfectly fine! But maybe I'm not using my printer enough to the point of it jamming? Perhaps if you get the right Xerox paper for your printer, nothing should bad happen; eg don't buy paper that's designed for laser printer and you are going to use it for inkjets or don't buy inkjet paper when you only have a laser printer!

If you want to be safe, buy paper that is compatible with both inkjets and laser printers alike. I've always followed this religiously and never had a problem with printing.

    • I didn't even know there was a difference lol.

      • +1

There actually is a difference, but very minor. Apparently I was told, by one of the staff from Office Works, that there is a special coating or layer used on paper that's designed for laser printers so that they can printer better or at its best or something(can't remember, was a while ago) and as such may or may not be compatible with inkjet printers. And inkjet paper is just plain ordinary paper with no special coating or anything.

        • So perhaps this special coating might be the reason why it jams on inkjets and not on laser printers, or it could be another cause? I don't know, never tried paper that's designed for laser printers on my Cannon…

  • Also for $3 A4 Fuji Xerox Performer High White copy paper for everyday printing at Big W. I would expect it's higher grade than the Transit paper although I haven't tried it yet so can't comment on how it compares to the likes of Relex.

  • woolworths had the same tonight

  • which one is the best fuji xerox paper?

    • +1

      Best for what?
They have a ton of options.

      • thanks for the reply which paper is best for printing only text through a laser printer?

  • Had Officworks pricematch the BigW offer.

    • oh yeah, never thought of that! lol Did it work?

If it works, I might actually go try it myself.

  • Yes I just showed them the big w listing and was all good.

    • ok, found out drop zone = clearance which means I won't be able to price match it with OW……not sure how you did it, guess you got lucky and OW wasn't as strict/firm as the one I was at. Oh well, maybe next time I get in first, heh.

  • Tried to price match via Office Works, but they seem more strict:
    - Item is not in clearance or equivalent(I'll have to confirm this with Big W as I'm not sure myself)
    - Has to be in stock
    - Price for said item must be correct on the day you price match at OW(so doesn't matter if someone bought it yesterday or a week ago - even if you show them proof - I showed someone's receipt here that it was $1(but it was 3 days ago) but they still refused, must be the day your price match it)
    - OW only price matches in their state only which means if price is different interstate(for example if it's $10 at Big W in NSW and $30 here in WA(at Big W) and your OW store is in WA, you can't price match), you can't price match with your OW in another state.

If all those 4 points above checked, yes they can price match, otherwise no. I have no idea how other people managed to price match Big W(maybe they were still in stock or and they bought it on the same day they bought from Big W or maybe their OW staff is more loose then strict), but this is what I got told.

I'll have to check and ask Big W at Whitfords/Kingsway/Mirrabooka/Karrinyup as they're closest to me and confirm tomorrow if it's still $1 per ream, then I go back to OW at Malaga(which is where I was at today) and tell them this.
