I am just gonna copy and paste my Whirlpool thread here since it covers the deal, a review link and what I purchased…
Read a review on this new device over at the Spanish forum where the K3 Note ROMs are primarily coming from and it confirmed all specs are true eg. that the battery is 3350mah and the device itself is super responsive and fast in real life applications, the screen is great and it's basically a great phone, so I ordered one with some accessories from Antelife. They have a pre-sale special on the phone and also a special where if you order a UMI phone you get 90% off their accessories. The orders ship out on the 20th of this month (July).
I also read on the review that WCDMA-CLR-850 is supported, so maybe that means 850Mhz support in Aus? Either way I'm with Vodafone in a half regional, half metro area so I'll be sweet for reception.

NOTE: To add the accessories you have to go to this link http://www.antelife.com/umi-iron-mtk6753-1-3ghz-octa-core-5-… and CTRL+left click the accessories you want to add to select more than one, then click add to cart.
I paid $285 and got:
UMI Iron
Tempered glass
UMI black leather flip cover
UMI black soft gel cover
UMI in-ear earphones with mic and volume control
Express 3-7 delivery via DHL
Parcel insurance
I had to pay via credit card as Paypal wasn't giving me errors due to the prices not matching up correctly — I'm guessing due to the way the site is set up to add accessories and the sale and stuff is throwing the prices out so when you go through Paypal it somehow comes up with around $347 AUD if I remember. Non-Paypal credit card payment directly through their site worked fine. And no this is not some scam to avoid Paypal so their can rip you off — check TrustedReviews and you'll see they have like 8/10 score.
Anyway super happy with the price and can't wait to get the phone! Looks good, runs pure stock Android 5.1 with easy root access via Rootjoy, custom ROM support via Rootjoy and OTA updates provided you keep the stock recovery on there.
Cheering!
UMI phones haven't supported WCDMA 850MHz in the past. I'd want to see a few more reviews specifying that it does support it before trusting this translation.
