My personal experience with VPN.sh. They were good to start with but then I couldn't access the OZ servers. Kept giving errors. Logged multiple jobs and even submitted an email via their form and no reply. I have since cancelled my subscriptions pending expiry. I tried VPN.sh as I didin't like PIA to begin with.. but now that PIA have OZ servers it's much improved.

I used to be a big advocate for VPN.sh on here but not anymore.

Did you receive my message (open, as I couldn't send you a Private one, as requested).

I took your earlier use of "Update" at face value, as reported on your earlier OzB deal's comment stream.
Instead of paying 3 UKP, I was charged 4 UKP. I haven't yet seen my 1 UKP refund, as yet…
Instead of a refund, from my 1st ticket Request, I was asked if I'd misunderstood instructions.

I explained that you'd admitted the error in using "Update" rather than, say, "choose by data budget."

As VPN.sh have now offered a 1 UKP price for 1 UKP (ie, 1/3 of what I was charged- on top of the 1 UKP I was charged for a 150 GB service… Total 4 UKP…

Now, it would be Better to pay the 1 UKP for the 1,000 GB service, in total, esp'ly considering my time spent seeking the Refund.

Also, I've not been able to set up an iPad Aid to use VPN.sh

I await a reply to my 2nd Ticket on that.

HOLA VPN (who had their wrists slpped for using users' data, eg, to be able to offer VPN access to Au)
Now, HOLA let supply an app to set up iPad Air for any country. VPN.sh needs such apps… or clearer
Set up examples & instrctions for IPad Air.

        Can you assist? TIA.

To accomplish that, can you get them to Refund my

        • …1 UKP overcharge AND clarify how to access the service via iPad. I had to change site-login password, but - thereafter - no imaginable mix of returned Username, P/W &/or Acc't # would open the 1,000 GB VPN service to my iPad Air (iOS 8.1.x)

  • Non-existing clients can get the 1000GB / year for £3 per year here.

    • I've been a user for a year or two now, mostly happy with the service (do occasionally have to try alternate exit points in the countries, but can always find one that works well).
If I currently have the £1 special from a few weeks ago, and I get this, will that price be for life (ie £2 per year for 1000GB/year on going?

      Cheers

      • Glad to hear that the service has mainly been spot on for you! Yep, that's absolutely fine - just let us know when you open the support ticket (the link for this at the bottom of the offer page) so that you have written confirmation that you'll be able to continue renewing at £2/year for 1000GB/year :).

        • Will the combined renewal date be around this time next year - ie would the existing one be effectively terminated?

        • I would like to know this too.

I was with VPN.sh and had many issues. Opened tickets and no response or even a reply.

    Beware.

Go go check out Liam's attempt to sell FixedRoute VPN. Took people's money and wasn't heard from since, and now he trying to flog of this same **** again.

I want my money back Liam!!

Everybody who has an account with FixedRoute has their VPN. Could you let me know your support ticket ID's over at VPN.sh via PM please?

    • I agree there're many issues, mostly with support. However, from my dealings with them, Liam seems to be a decent guy.

I too have signed up for fixedroute vpn, had problems to get it working properly, support wasn't much help. After a while, I just called it quit and Liam refunded my money.

      • Thanks for the PM with the ticket ID, I've just had this responded to for you. FixedRoute is running much smoother now, so please do give me a shout in a support ticket over there if you'd like to give us another chance to make things right!

      • Can anyone who's SOLVED (eg, w/ Liam's help) their VPN.sh
problems REPORT DETAILS OF HOW TO FIX THE ISSUE(S)?

(It doesn't help to offer empty "Testimonials" here; perhaps we can make Liam's load less, by sharing HOW to make it work.)

PS How to get Refunds… will likely remain a task for Liam.

As I don't normally need to do it, I ask: HOW TO SEND A PM?

  • Haha, still have your free New Years deal going: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/177177

    • Not anymore it seems!

      • Sorry, I meant I still have it :D

Blame my head cold for phrasing most of my comments wrong from last night.

My feeling towards vpn.sh is mixed, it's good when it's working, specially at this price. But when things go wrong, support is hit and miss, often more miss than hit.

Everything is working absolutely fine as of right now, and has been for several months (although we had some brief issues with one of our Australia servers more recently which affected a small number of our users). We're going to be looking over the support issues, as we're aware that it hasn't been up to scratch.

      • +2

Define several months, because around April [and that's not so far from now] all the 4 servers were not working. I can understand there are technical issues but when you and your staff fail [purposely it seems] to respond to open tickets when we have problems, then we have serious issues.

Get you shite together and provide proper support when we have problems. Is that asking for too much?

Maybe then you will have positive replies here on Oz!!!

I will be sending you an email, with the open tickets you and your staff conveniently chose to ignore.

I was also with VPN.sh and FixedRoute VPN. The servers were always down or would drop your connection after 30 minutes use. I would stay far away from them.

    • -6

All servers have been up and running without any issue for several months now - please make sure you're using our latest OpenVPN files and IP's (all details are available within our client area).

Worse VPN I have used, ever. I opened a ticket about some server being down 2 months ago still no response. The speeds aren't that great either. I guess you get what you pay for.

I will stick to PIA from here on in.

    • Could you please PM me your support ticket ID?

  • Thanks Rep!

    • 87% sold!

  • Rep, any idea how long upgrades will take to process?

    • Still haven't received mine yet. Sent the rep a PM.

  • Same here. Put in the upgrade request and paid With a ticket raised but still pending and not activated yet.
How long will this actually take?

  • Just got an email from them:

    Dear (me),

Apologies for the delays on getting your order up and running. We'll be processing your order within the next 48 hours, and will alter your next invoice due date to reflect the delays.

We appreciate your patience, and will have everything up and running for you as soon as possible.

    Kind regards,
    VPN.sh Team

    • I got this too. Hopefully it gets sorted.
