For $45 a month you get unlimited calls and sms, but only 500mb. Will only suit a light internet user. Of the 3 headsets probably the s5 it's the best one, plus has removable battery.
If you have broadband with Optus too makes it $35 a month, as you get $10 off. Extra data costs $10 per gb
Optus Samsung S5 HTC One M8 or Xperia Z3 Compact $45 Unlimited Calls SMS 500MB Data

Must be an S5 at that price.
Sorry guys fixed, it is the s5
Or if you don't mind Virgin Mobile S5 is free on a $40 plan with 1.5gb data and $450 call credit.
That's a pretty good deal for 1.5gb
But Virgin Mobile probably not getting the network coverage as good as Optus even it uses Optus network.
Virgin has the exact same coverage and speeds as optus.
And virgin is using optus network too! I assume 4G is included
The Z2 is also a pretty good deal at 40 p/m.
Telstra deal is still available for same price and 2gb data. Plus you get Australia's best network
Can you please provide a link to this one?
I thought it is now 404 error if you click the link?
Really I thought that was over?
Link doesnt work anymore. I'm on the Telstra Prepaid Encore plan, only ever recharge $30 a month, and purchase 700megs data pack for $20. I rollover the remaining $10. So I use about 1.1gb a month.
Not sure if its worth changing to this plan…
Im pretty sure offer is finished.it was extended to 4/7 but link went down a day earlier. Also kuro dont forget u got a free s5 or m8 with the offer so plan went down to around $25 p/m if you chose to sell the new phone.
That's based off a 24 month calculation assuming I sell the s5 for $500. What happens after the 2 years, it'll cost $45 a month…
Correct but u have the opportunity to go elsewhere at that time.
Couldn't imagine owning a smart phone and having 500mb of data.
Optus's idea of revenue raising.
Additional data automatically charged at $10/1GB
not so smart owner :)
Contract length in title please
The good thing with Optus 40 plan is you can send unlimited SMS to 25 countries
WhatsApp, Tango, Wechat, Line etc. Can do messages to everywhere in the world. Unlimited SMS is useless these day.
500MB data is useless these days.
Have to disagree with OP.
S5 is definitely not as good as the HTC M8.
I got the S5 for myself and the M8 for my wife on the Telstra $45 plan, and for every app we use, the M8 loads it at least 1 second faster. It's a very smooth and seamless experience. Whereas the S5 is very average.Definitely go for the M8.
S5 is water resistant (ip67 certified) and also has a fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor. Camera crushes the one on the M8, but I will agree that the M8 has the better software experience.
Really up to personal preference.
The Z3 Compact is not $45 a month. It is $48.
is it the S3 or S5, because in the title, it says S3.
