Can someone clarify this for me. If I take advantage of the 0% balance transfer offer for 14 months and if I still want to be make a purchase to be eligible for the $150 gift card, I will need to make a purchase during the balance transfer period. Thus, if I purchase something it will be charged with a cash advance rate from the day I purchase it? correct? And once I make a monthly repayment the repayment be applied on the debt with the highest interest rate?? which should be the item I purchased followed by the balance transfer debt.
Thanks OP, applied
Have had a very good credit history so far but applied for this CC…and the (profanity) rejected my application impacting my credit inquiry…is there a way to remove this credit inquiry as it impacts my credit file unnecessary…Wouldnt suggest anyone to apply for this credit card.
Should have read the feedback including myself :) It is not worth it and will impact your history.
Anyone else apart from damnable received their $150 gift card yet?
I made a purchase 2 weeks ago; nothing so far.Was told on the phone today up to 8 weeks :P
Where did you make your purchase, I'm not sure if it matters where…
how soon did he receive the email?
i made a purchase 2 wks ago - no contact… still waitingJust got mine today, yes, $150 eGift Card.
Oh hello everyone. I just came back to have a look how things were going.
It took 2 weeks between my approval email and the egiftcard email to come through. I can't remember the date of my first purchase, however it was very soon after receiving my card in the mail and just for a few dollars. It was just at my local Woolies too.
If it interests anyone I was offered first 2000 bonus points and then 5000 bonus points as a sweetener to prevent me from cancelling my account.
Is that because you threatened to cancel?
Yep.
Still need to cancel after 12 months or pay the $49 annual fee.
I didn't get offered anything when I cancelled :(
@fredblogs: Me either :(
Got mine via email today!
Got my email with $150 today as well.
Edit: Does anyone know what the value of the points are? I can see they only send out a "shopping card" if you reach $20 minimum limit, but nowhere can I find what the conversion rate is. Wanted to see if it was worthwhile before I ring up to cancel my card.
