  I have one of these. Don't do much demanding stuff with it, but it has more than met my needs.

  You can also get the nifty new glass screen protectors for it.

  3G works fine on Optus' 2100MHz city (I'm in the Newcastle region) band. Haven't tested with anything else.

  One slight issue (and I do mean slight) is the button at the bottom of the screen are not backlit, but it has not been a real issue.

  androids with 1G ram is like Windows phone with 512MB ram

  expect the OS swallow half the usable memory and run two apps at once max.

  You will get browser page refresh after switching to likes of SKYPE for a reply text in these devices.

  Excellent for those user less demanding on the multi app environment: Elder specially

  Avoid this seller. Shipped me a fuallty Redmi Note and refused to deal with it until PayPal dispute was involved. Never again.

  I recently bought the Redmi 2 overseas for $200 so $125 (possibly USD?) from this seller for the Redmi 2 is better value than the Redmi 1 worth the upgrade IMO.

  It's nothing special, touch screen is satisfactory, the 1GB of RAM hurts a little but it isn't awful. For me this was a downgrade from the Nexus 5 but great value for money.
