Flights to NY from $1,119

20

United Airlines are offering terrific deals on return flights to the US for travel between 17th Jan to 31st March 2010. A return trip to the Big Apple is listed at $1,317 being a significant saving on the next best deal. Must purchase by 10th December 2009. If you book through Zuji you can expect an even bigger discount! My ticket to NY costs $1,119.32 return - can't wait. (I hope to sleep through the in flight service which has been criticised in the past).

  • Barely a bargain. V australia have been doing $900 deals this year.

  • It was $890 a couple of months ago

  • Check out the airline before you book this. Recently traveled United to LA and it was not good, no seat back screens, no padding in seat, poor inflight service. On the LA to NY leg you have to pay for food/drink I would rather pay extra and go Qantas with full service.

  • Fly VA to LAX then Virgin America/Jetblue across. United are rubbish.

  • Northwest and delta are also doing the same price. So not really a bargain. Seems to be the going rate in the market. One of them will hit the panic button and drop the price sub $1000 and the rest will follow like sheep. After all aren't most of the US airlines in chapter 11 anyway?

    • united, delta and a few others are all in chapter 11.

  • Currently in the US from the last United flight deal, flying back tomorrow.
Syd-Mel was a newly refurbished plane which also is the same plane from Syd to LA, Mel-SF was an old crappy plane with CRT monitors, old interior. SF-NY was a newly refurbished plane with free internet, (gogo internet).

Keep in mind, if you fly your domestic leg separately from your international leg (i.e. United to La, V America domestically) you will pay baggage fees. Jetblue includes the first one for free, 2nd bag is $30. Other airlines charge for even the first bag. United includes 2 checked bags as long as long as flights are all on the same international itinerary.
