    would it be suitable for DSLR Cameras?

      Looks like it's standard screw mount, but it looks like it's built for video so you can't tilt 90° for portrait shots. Inca tripods are surprisingly well built for the price.

      • So it will fit DSLR cameras?

        • Yes, as long as your DSLR has a standard screw mount on the bottom.

        • @skegger: Thanks. I will get one :-)

  • any information for size and weight?

  • The 3150 does rotate to vertical, not sure about this model as it's no longer on incas website.

    • I think we can't expect all the features from $12 Tripod :).

    • From the photo, there appears to be a knob to allow rotation to portrait mode.

    But out of stock atm.

  • Free pickup not available from Melbourne store. Delivery = $9.

  • Got Gerry to pricematch it for me - via online chat. From $31.63 and discount of $19.65 so total was $11.98 - harveynorman.com.au

    For a pricematch, conditions are
    * They must have a store in your local area
    * They must have stock
    * Must be available both online and in store
    * Has to be an advertised price
    * Cannot be on clearance
    * They must be identical

  • It would be interesting to see how many buy this and think it's crap and then buy a better tripod? $12 tripod still makes a cheap off camera flash stand :)

  • I must admit, that I have an Inca i3150 bought from Officeworks for like $15-$20 (can't remember exactly) a couple of years ago and it's flimsy but for occasional use with a handycam seems to be OK. I am interested in another cheap trip and wonder if this slightly different model would be any better/different.

    • I went to inspect for myself and unlike the i3150 and despite what it claims on the box, this model definitely has no quick release plate for detaching the camera without unscrewing however the box middle photo correctly depicts how the plate can be rotated up to 90° for portrait orientation and that conveniently exposes the locking screw knob for easy access. Good enough for me at that bargain price. I couldn't help myself and bought one from Wiley Park where there were approx. 9 left afterwards around 14:00 today. It is as flimsy as my i3150 but seemed a bit better/stiffer likely from being new/unused whereas my i3250 has gotten a bit loose even with only light occasional use over a couple of years, though not drastic/inconvenient. Still works OK for my needs.

  • $9 at Harvey Norman now

  • Was in Kotara Domayne when I saw the HN update - they happily price-matched.
    Incredibly lightweight but flimsy, not exactly precision engineered but for $9 should hold up small DSLRs just fine.
