I love me some beard oil! :)

  • +3

Will this work on my bearded dragon?

    • +6

      Clams maybe, not dragons.

  • What's next? Pube oil?

    • Beards are in fact pubic hair that can do with some oil. They generate enough of this themselves without resorting to artificial means.

      • Having a large beard myself and knowing lots of people with pubic hair on their faces i will assure you that olive oil or baby oil are all that you need, personally i do not use either.

Yes folks the contender for the worlds most useless product is back!
While orphans starve in the Africa, boat people swarm into Italy and tens of thousands are executed by Isis in the Middle East, the hipsters of Melbourne an Sydney are furrowing their waxed and shaped brows, concentrating to bring you vegan-friendly beard oils. Why? Because hipster ponce life just wasn't poncy enough.
    Beard Oil!
Usual price $966.66 per litre, but today with the amazing 25% off, a mere $749.76 per litre!!!!
The product you never knew you needed and in fact really and definitely do not need!

I thought you were joking at first, though I just took a look and you're seriously not; it is legitimately almost $1000/L. I have no clue how they think anyone in their right mind would buy this.

(your first amount is wrong, it's usually $999.66*, though second amount is correct)

Eneloops, cree torches, Udemy courses, delivery hero..now we have to sort through beard oil posts too!

  • seems pretty expensive

    • seems pretty expensive

Is very expensive and outright stupid for anyone to pay these prices.

Welcome to ozbargain thirteenculture but please come here with a real deal not an advertisement.

    • Pretty expensive?

      It's daylight robbery :-/

  • Any razors for sale?

  • I've tried these products, can confirm they're great for taming a mighty beard.

Also if you've saved a ton of money by growing a beard (and hence not buying razors etc.) it's a small price to pay to keep it in top condition.

I guess this stuff can be used as a lube as well since its made for Wayne Kerrs!

    • Yes it can, plus smells good ;)

  • +2

another useless product with a discount.

I wonder how many of the negative comments here are coming from the OzB ubiquitous schoolboy demographic, who are not yet capable of growing a beard?

It seems the cap fits - twice, and counting. :)

        • Nah! …….. no point.

She would not be offended, as she would recognise immediately that I had forwarded it from some internet dimwit.

          Haha reach up jackspratt, reach!

I can't wait for this to be sold by COTD or Kogan ("Don't pay too much for your beard oil…")

as per usual…. the (inappropriate) neg vote gives us no useful information, other than some individuals have a particular opinion about the product. There is no indication of product quality or retailer reliability compared to others in the market…. No indication of any cheaper products, etc, etc

For any that are interested… http://www.artofmanliness.com/2014/09/09/diy-beard-oil/ gives ideas on how to make your own.

      What does this say

i will assure you that olive oil or baby oil are all that you need

      • Baby oil is a generic term for mineral oils with added fragrance. These clear liquid mixtures of hydrocarbons are refined from petroleum and often used as a moisturizer in cosmetic products.

some proponents of mineral oil alternatives even claim mineral oil is carcinogenic, though the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the highly refined form found in baby oil. Be sure to check with a dermatologist before using baby oil, and stop using it if your skin becomes inflamed.

        Sounds great….

i will assure you that olive oil or baby oil are all that you need

Presumably you've compared these with this particular product, to enable you to give an informed opinion…. Whilst appreciating your personal taste about these products in general, did this product compare unfavourably to it's competitors?

          Refers to shaving

Presumably you've compared these with this particular product

          I stated earlier that i do not use any product.But will add that not one of my mates with beards that has used commercially made beard oil has ever bought a second container a couple have even said …..(self censored due to diversity}

Interesting to note that thirteenculture has not answered my question below.

          @coin saver:

          Refers to shaving

Refers to composition of baby oil…. as does

The name mineral oil by itself is imprecise, having been used to label many specific oils over the past few centuries. Other names, similarly imprecise, include white oil, liquid paraffin, pariffinum liquidum, and liquid petroleum. Baby oil is a perfumed mineral oil.
Most often, mineral oil is a liquid by-product of the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline and other petroleum-based products from crude oil. A mineral oil in this sense is a transparent, colorless oil composed mainly of alkanes [2] and cyclic paraffins, related to petroleum jelly (also known as "white petrolatum"). It has a density of around 0.8 g/cm3.[3] Mineral oil is a substance of relatively low value, and it is produced in very large quantities. Mineral oil is available in light and heavy grades, and can often be found in drug stores.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mineral_oil

I stated earlier that i do not use any product

How are you able to make comment on products you have never used?

    • tnx for that link.
      good stuff.

  • thirteenculture do you have any links to scientific tests on your product that will prove the below claim from your site

Revitalizes Facial Hair, Follicles and Skin with unique blends and scents

    • +1

Makes me think of Rejuvalize from this episode of The Checkout where they made a beauty product from Sorbalene, repackaged it and sent it off to a company for some 'clinical trials'. So even if thirteenculture was to produce scientific test results, I would take it with a grain of salt.

I'm really tempted to neg this as a defective product as imo beard oil is a rip off.

    • I can hardly wait for when you start to ask these probing sorts of questions on the coffee threads :)

  • Hi All…. just use the code ozbargain862015 and you can get the product super cheap compared to anything else you will find :)
