word of caution, its a good tablet, BUT if you update to its latest firmware kitkat 4.4.2 the battery life will last measily 4 hrs, so do not update out of the box which i think is on 4.2 if you want to retain its 8hrs + batt life
also actual use is laggier than it should, took me lot of effort to unlock the bootloader, root and install TWRP and then finally install the modded kernel from Tegra note 7 from xda forum, which is the identical device, to restore its performance. The thing is this cpu was quite powerful and matches the SD 800 upon release, just due to poorly unoptimized firmware generally across the OEMs, little support from HP, had to use resources from the tegra note 7 forum.
having said that, this is a good price, the beats edition dont give it much better sound except stronger bass.
