  • Must resist the temptation …
Still happy with the G3 …
    It's hard, man!

      It's hard, man!

Not really, if you got more brain than money.

  • New mobiles are coming down fast these days, only ones not are Apple

    • True. The Samsung S6 is not selling as many units as had been expected. They've probably lost more customers by removing the SD card slot and replaceable battery. Having a nice new metal casing has not made up the lost customers.

Give it a month or two dropping in price like this and they'll be free (is what I'm telling myself so I don't buy one right now)

    • +3

Don't really get why you've been so badly negged. If it's working for you and you're saving money then it sounds great. That's part of the reason we're all on Ozbargain after all isn't it?

      • Yeah I just went the wrong away about wording my point… Basically I don't think this will be the lowest we'll see the G4 and there's more savings to be had by waiting an extra month (maybe not free but I figured that was obvious to other people)

That being said - great phone and I'm finding it hard to wait

        • +1

I understood you mate. And it's true, it's not even out in Aus or many countries so if you can wait a bit longer, you'll pay less

  • +3

This model is missing 2300 band, hence H815 model the price is lower than H815T.

  • +4

Just need one of them eBay 20% off sales.

  • +1

Definately need a 20% sale soon

  • +2

Don't Forget LG G4 Support Quick Charge 2.0 but original charge not support that

  • +8

LG is now the official phone provider for OzBargainers.

  • Does it come with the spare battery since ?

For those who like this phone and have multiple numbers, wait and buy the LG G4 H818P model. It's dual-LTE-SIM…Yes, 4G on both SIMS (not at once) and works on all major network bands here in Australia. Exact same specifications where nothing is sacrificed on the model unlike th\he G3 I just can't find one LEGIT place I trust that's selling it yet!

    • So is the H818P going to sold here? I guess not and we need to import what bands all together? Or is it one of those you can one Sim slot for 4g another 2g only?

      • +2

Sold in Aussie stores? No, it's an import designed for Phillipines, Ukraine, UAE, Indonesia…but I'm sure some of the big online retailers who have strong sales figures in AUS will sell it soon enough. To answer your other question - it runs on ALL 4G LTE frequencies including the 4GX Telstra 700Mhz (just need to confirm that's B28 and not B17), but some specs suggest both. Both SIM slots are 4G, but only one can use LTE services at any one time, advertised as a "dual LTE SIM" phone.

Still, anyone else out there MAKE SURE YOU BUY A TEMP. GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR. This phone reates very poor in the drop test, shattering the screen on face-down drops, back cover known to fling off and battery fall out easily as well…so a back cover may be worthwhile too. One of the few nitpick things I can see that's wrong with it.

  • hmm this or the xperia z3+..

    • +1

Speaking personally … after owning 1 Sony device (Z Ultra) it's given me more grief than any device is worth. Main issue is the phantom input issue where the device recieves random touches and can do literally anything. If you want to root your device you can turn down the sensitivity which partially fixes the issue while losing sensitivity …

This makes the device like a timebomb and it's hard to describe but it saps the users confidence in what's happening with the GUI - disconcerting is how I would describe it.

This is a hardware issue that Sony has known about from the Z1 and has not been addressed as late as the Xperia M. There is no way I'm going to buy a mobile device from sony again.

It's a real shame as there is a lot to like otherwise but it just causes way to much grief. No other manufactuer that I know of has these issues, it's not something that cannot be fixed.

So totes obvs the G4 …

Edit: dammit I'm turning into a fanboi :|

      • Interesting, is it an issue with select phones or with every device? Guess it's best if I go instore and try it when it comes out.

      • Im using z1 for nearly 3 year now, im happy with it plus now its upgradable to lollipop, very quick and smooth

        • +3

Did you time travel to pick it up 1-1.5 years before release date?

        • @raven2000: sorry, im not librarian, so cant really remember the exact time or how long i had it for, the main thing is, its doing good, fast, no overheating, no un-sensitive on the screen, i drop it 2 times and still good.

edit: check it out: bought it dec 2013 so sorry, geez 1.5 years, so many things coming out

  • +3

Hah anyone remember this from their old days?

"red leather! yellow leather! red leather! lellow lealear!"

  • Amazing it dropped so quickly at $699. But it's expected

  • what's the warranty like on something like this?

    • effectively unenforceable?

      • eh, I'll wait for local stock.

    • From my understanding they have a repair center in Sydney you send it back to for warranty.

  • Wireless charging out of the box ? And extra battery with dock ??

    • I don't think it's got wireless charging but does have Quick Charge 2.0

  • with cash rewards how much would you get back?
