360 lines is useless imo. Mine 720tvl can't even make out car's plate number from 6m distance
Do you mean you have one of these dome CCTV camera installed in your car, and you were trying to make out another car's plate number?
it means if you install it in front of your garage door to monitor your driveway you will not be able to make out the number plates of a car that pulls in your driveway.

Got to laugh at the 380tvl though that's way less than even standard definition video. If you're serious you'd get at least 800tvl.
All you need is the enhancing software . If you watch csi you will be amazed at the detail you can pull out of a crappy image .

No, this is an analogue camera, so you'd to digitise the video output to get pixels.
The 1/4" Sony Super HAD sensor in this has a resolution of 500 x 582 pixels. From what I can work out, PAL 380 TVL would convert to something like 506 x 576 pixels.
It also looks like this camera is not motorised, you manually push the lens into position and focus it.
