    • Damn doesn't work on playstation tv :(

  • Toshiba 2tb is "out of stock" -_-

    • There's another Toshiba 2tb but it's $10 dearer.

      • Not $10 more, it's $139 - $25 = $114.

        • +1

i think what eviledward meant was $10 dearer for the Toshiba 2TBs.
Out of curiosity, whats the difference between the 2 Toshibas 2 TBs?
both packaging box seems to have Cavio Basics although the boxes looks different but from the box the features looks the same and also have the same name?

        • @zzzsianzzz: Thanks for helping me clear that up. I remember a similar question came up in a HDD deal as well, from what I remember if you look at Toshiba website. One of them explicitly has the shock sensor and the other doesn't even though Dick Smith says both of them have it.

Wow! I know Dick Does Deals, but this sale is extraordinary! We won't see this again folks, buy buy buy!

P.S. Not a stab at you, TA ;-)

  • Seagate desktop drive 2tb @ $94. Is this a good price?

    • According to my post, it's common pricing and nothing too spectacular. But I might cave in :)

      • Your one is far prettier though, worth the extra $5.

    Thanks, TA.

    Got one.

How does this compare to other small external hard drives in regards to specs, durability etc.?

    • +1

Specifications I do not know for this particular drive.

However for a user buying small numbers of disks for consumer orientated use (meaning almost all home users) there is little difference between hard drives failure rates.

Although it's true that these differences matter to an enterprise that needs to replacement hundreds or more disks each year the numbers of disks a consumer buys is too insignificant to make a measurable difference. People's tendency to experience confirmation bias allows them to notice otherwise though.

Getting this error when I purchase:

    Coupon code "WKND25, WKND45, WKND70, WKND95" is not valid.

    • +2

      Use 'WKND25' only.

    • You can't use all of the codes simultaneously lol

      • Hahahaha god that's hilarious!

  • +1

    Hey there,
not sure why, but I just used the WKND70 code and received a $85 discount!
    I won't complain :)

  • Does OW price beat discount code offers?

  • +3

You can get the 2TB Toshiba Basic one for $108 and 2TB Seagate ones for about $120 via ebay store and the CPICKUP15 code

  • Good deal but I usually go for the most storage capacity vs. price when I think of value.

  • This deal is a bit better than DS last deal (18-Jan-15), which was $79.
    Thanks OP

  • Thanks champ

  • Put my order in yesterday and paid with PayPal. Just got an email back from PayPal telling me that my account has been refunded!!!! Haven't received any email from DSE! Did Centrecom take over DSE? Grrrrrrrr.
