  • Hmm…bit of a fail on this one. Put two of the selection in my basket and they came to 20 pounds, not 14. (and I went all the way to the final price at the end of the checkout process). Also one of the Blurays wasn't going to arrive until after Dec 25th. I went with no on that one.

The item price, even when you get to the final page, will stay the same. However, there is a "Promotion Applied" row in the price calculations, which takes off just enough to make the items 7 pounds each. I've done test orders, including for out of stock items, to confirm this.

Using Amazon's own AUD currency option, it works out to be $18.18 right now per movie. Due to Amazon's "per shipment" fixed fee (in addition to the per item fee), buying a few more titles gives you a little bit more saving, so if you buy 6 titles, then it works out to be around $16.87 each (if you buy more, the savings become negligible, for example, buy 10 and you only save an extra 20 cents per title compared to buying 6).

And as someone has commented on already, all UK Blu-rays are playable in Australia as we both share the same region code.

  • Noob question - I thought Blu Ray were region protected?

Can we play UK Blu Ray on an Aussie machine?

The UK and Australia are the same region - Region B.

  • Its a pity that we get things cheaper from abroad even after including the shipping.
China ,i understand…….but why is UK cheaper than Australia?
