(VIC) Floyd Mayweather V Manny Pacquiao Event Free for Attendees to Ess V St Kilda AFL Match 3/5 Via Ticketmaster

160

Bear with me guys (this might be more of a forum post - I couldn't find any other link than a facebook post) but this is one of the most anticipated fights in recent memory. It's been billed as the 'fight of the century' by some!

http://www.news.com.au/sport/boxing/floyd-mayweather-v-manny…

All attendees to this Sunday's AFL game (showing ticket upon entry) can access this event for FREE via the EJ Whitten or Legends Bar from 11am.

Pay per view for this fight on Foxtel is $59.95, so mathematically it's 'cheaper' to buy a ticket to the game and come here to watch aswell!

Also each bar will have $10 Parma and Chips available.

My tip - Mayweather by Decision/Tech Dec.

Details:

Watch the LIVE broadcast of the 'Fight of the Century' Mayweather v Pacquiao at Etihad Stadium on Sunday 3 May from 11am!

Entry to the Legends Bar & EJ Whitten Bar is via Gate 2.

$10 Parma and Chips will be available for fans from 12pm.
Arena View will also be open from 1.30pm to view the big fight.

Fight Card:
Brad Solomon v Adrian Rene Granados
Andrew Tabiti v Anthony Caputo Smith
Jesse Hart v Mike Jimenez

My local bars are also showing this match?
Should we post a deal for every pub in Australia?

    • +1

That's why I was a little tentative to post this - but thought fans weighing up whether to a) Pay per view, b) attend the AFL match anyways have this as a solution to all of their problems!

Parmi and Chips for $10 makes this a win. Pity I don't live in Melbourne and already going to the zoo that day. lol Although I'll be enjoying the Showdown in the afternoon but am a bit interested in this boxing match even though I never watch Boxing and don't exactly agree with the sport!

        • Parma*

        • @Domingo: treeman is right. Parmigiana shortens to Parmi. Parma is a town.

        • +4

@PBG: Tell that to my friend Dave, who doesn't shorten his name from David to Davi.

          Also Mrs' Parmas in Melbourne

        • @Domingo: Haha, very good. What about my friend Davo, should he call it Parmo?

And you can google anything and get a result. Look what happens when I google parmi and chips

          If it read:

$10 Parmi and Chips will be available for fans from 12pm

then I'd be totally okay with it :)

        • @Domingo: Looks like you're both right (according to Wikipedia, anyway): http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_parmigiana

        • @docpol: Poll with a "representative" sample :P

From parma.com.au no less. Clearly no bias and a reputable source.

          @Domingo: Reputable sauce?

        • @djkelly69: Marinara sauce?

        • @Domingo:
I think he needs to watch a Docu on Manu :P

  • Whoever wins, the WW division is still dominated by two guys. The same with the Klitschkos at HW.

That's what I never got about boxing. There's always one or two big names that are perpetually padding their records with a sea of nobodies until retirement. How many times can you watch Vlad Klitchko clobber the next up and coming contender in a predictable and safe decision victory?

That and way too many suspicious fights that look like they're thrown so Las Vegas bookies can cash in on lopsided odds.

    • Boxing 101

So admission price of Ess v StK should really be in title?

  • +1

and kids get free entry on sunday games, so take them and leave them to their own resources.

I don't know that much about boxing, but don't the undercards usually go for about 3-4 hours? So the main fight might not even be finished when the game is supposed to start?

Seems like it could backfire a bit.

  • I only want to watch Pacquiao's match, have no any interest in afl.

    • -1

I think you'll have to watch Mayweather's "match" also.

    • +1

Whereas I have no any interest in boxing.

I hear it can words your mix up when you get head in the hit too often.

  • alot of pubs around my area (NSW) are showing this for free, how is this different?

  • I'm at the ground now. Round 1 to may weather.
