      You're very welcome.
Unfortunately I won't be in the country and won't be able to attend it :(

  • Great deal Ametric, but pass on the day/time. Cheers.

    • What day/time is it @tightarse?

      • Work back late some Wednesdays, so 6:30 is out for me unfortunately.

        • Thanks for the speedy response #thumbsup

        • I for one am amazed that you ever work. I just don't see how you would find the time with all the deals you post.

It's got me thinking that perhaps there is an army of people who all login as tightarse. Either that or you have a clone.

    Got two. Thank you!

Was it ozbargained? Doesn't show anything for me now :)

Hi Ametric, sorry but the site has a massive amount of traffic on it and the loading times have been affected. Tickets are still available so keep trying and they have their tech team dealing with it now.

      • Thanks for clarifying this!

  • I can't get the site to work.. Is anyone else having issues? It sits on the request form, then processes and then flicks back to the request form.. Bummed cause I really wanted to see this one.. If anyone has any spare tickets to the Jam Factory screening, let me know!

    • Sorry everyone. The site was bombarded with traffic and is struggling to deal with it. They have their tech team on to it now and the problem is being sorted. Keep trying throughout the day.

      • Thanks - will keep trying!

EDIT - Now its telling me that i've already got tickets, but I've never gotten through..

    • I was having the same problem but after some minutes the registration was processed.

  • +1

  • Just received an email from freetix:

"WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY DELAYS / ERROR MESSAGES YOU MAY BE RECEIVING ON OUR WEBSITE TODAY.

We have experienced an unprecedented amount of traffic on the site and our servers have been struggling to deal with it all. Our tech team are working on the issue and we will be up and running smoothly again later today."

  • Wanted to claim two, but it's saying i've already claimed 3 which will override my 4 maximum? Haven't got any emails of the supposed three that I've got.

    • got the same message, I think the site is just screwed at the moment.

  • Website crashy as, maybe i got tix, I'm not sure, who knows, guess we will see….. :/

  • Got 2 tix at WA, Thanks OP

  • +2

Freetix apologises for the website issues today. The traffic to the site went through the roof today in unprecedented numbers. So their servers are having trouble handling it all.

Their tech team are dealing with it now and hope to be up and running smoothly again later today.

For now there are two choices:
Keep refreshing your page until you can get through
Try again later today when the traffic slows down a bit

Apparently ticket allocations will be updated this evening so if you miss out today you could try back tonight or tomorrow as there may be extra tickets offered for all their events to make up for the issues experienced today.

    • Are you guys going to release around the south-east by any chance?
      maybe somewhere like Southland?

  • just managed to get them thanks :)

  • Thanks!

  • Managed to grab a couple of tickets after a few attempts at clicking the 'register' button (you get a confirmation message on the site when it goes through saying an email has been sent with ticket details). Thanks, OP!

  • Got 3, thanks :-).

  • WA and Vic out of stock :(

    • Back in stock now

  • Any one got 2 extra ticket for vic ?
I would be happy to take if any one offers .

  • +2

Apparently more tickets will be opened up this evening for all screening dates to make up for the website issues today

  • Just a warning: these guys send a lot of emails.

  • Thanks op. Got four in QLD.

  • +1

  • +1

do we have to become a member (pay $15) to get these tickets? can someone please directly answer this question please? thanks

    • nope it was on the free list

      • Could you send the link for the free list

        • +1

https://freetix.com.au/#/event and select the 'open to all' filter.
the tickets were free earlier today, but extra "members only" tickets have been released

        • @heathwithnoteeth: Looks like all the free tickets are gone!! :(

If anyone has tickets to the screening in VIC please PM me thanks! :)

        • @natalientan:
Hi Natalie, extra tickets have been released for members now in all States. You can pick up a Social Membership for only $15 and once you've joined you can get up to 4 tickets to the advance screening of Woman in Gold

"We have experienced an unprecedented amount of traffic on the site and our servers have been struggling to deal with it all. Our tech team are working on the issue and we will be up and running smoothly again later today."

Seriously? I don't understand why this happens. They know a spike in traffic will occur: it's really not that hard to copy the website to AWS or Azure or dedicated resources for 1 month, change your DNS records and pay for a month of much higher than usual website access.

I'm not a "tech person" exactly but if I know how to do that how can these companies' IT teams fail to do it?

  • New tickets have been released now for VIC, NSW, QLD, SA & WA for their members.

The cheapest membership is $15 and you can get 4 tickets to the advance screening of the movie when you join, so that in itself works out at about a $65 saving - and you get to redeem more free tickets for 12 months.

The movie tickets could be a good to give to Mum for Mothers Day too.

If you didn't want to join you could keep an eye on the site in case more are released to the public again later on.

  • Just a follow up, have anyone actually received their tix?

    • I got an email confirming
      and… Thanks OP

  • I just received an email saying more tickets have been released. I joined up on 01/05/15(didn't have to pay$15) and then heard nothing. Anyway I was now able to apply for 2 free tickets in the CBD Sydney for 06/05/15. Beaudy!

  • i just cancelled mine for tonight in SA. so there may be 4 extras pop up for tonight.

had to cancel at the last minute (you have 3 hours before the event starts to cancel)

  • I just registered but no email yet. Hopefully I manage to grab some tickets!

    • I got tickets for Sydney around 15 minutes ago instantly, but my friend has no email 5 minutes ago, so I think it ran out for Sydney.
