Sounds more like an advert than a deal.

  • +1

What's the bargain? Free shipping? You always advertise them at this price.

  • +3

    Blu tack will suffice

  • -5

    Thanks for your comments.
Sorry about the advert like structure I was just trying to point out the benefits of a high quality frame at a reasonable price.
The deal is 10% off our Frame Price not the Free Shipping.

The 'benefits selling' technique is a tired old American approach that is culturally inappropriate and largely ineffective in Australia. Showing a prospective customer how you're great and your competitor isn't works wonderfully in America. In Australia it makes you look like a tosser, convinces us that we can't trust you, and encourages us to buy from someone else.

The money you paid for your American-style sales training was wasted.

A good salesman doesn't need to knock their competitor's product to sell their own product.

These framing companies are just parasites. They sniff around graduation ceremonies extorting enormous amounts of money from students and their families for a mass-produced product that costs about five dollars.

    $79 isn't a bargain, it's a rort. This isn't a bargain, it's an advertisement.

Officeworks has a good range of nice frames from as little as $20.00.

It took me two minutes to find another online store that offers a frame for my degrees for AU$59 delivered, $40 LESS than the same product from this advertiser.

    No deal.

    • I'm not one of the University Framers who do charge $120 - $150 on Graduation day.
Also I'm not selling imported frames @ $59
This is an Australian owned business and quite proudly I make all my own frames using the very best materials.

You're doing it again! A good salesman doesn't need to knock their competitor's product to sell their own product.

don't worry I'm learning a lot from my first attempt at this

But.. My degree's esteem will be enhanced! Can't put a price on that ole degree's esteem levels.

Mine are in paper envelopes stuffed in the top of the bookshelf! Not a whole lot of esteem level there! :-)

I see a few knocking this deal; I happen to have purchased one of their frames last time they posted.
The frame I received was much better quality than the generic frames that you can get at officeworks. I also looked at competitors prices and found that certificateframing.com.au offered pretty good prices (There were sites that advertised cheaper prices, but once you started customising, the prices rose sharply).
By all means, if you just want a cheap frame, officeworks will do the job, but I wanted something that looks professional for my office and I was not disappointed.

  • hey rep, why do you have a different username to the before deal?

    • CJ did the first couple for me.

It was my idea to do this one, I must say it is character building. This is a tough gig.

Also I prefer the positive feedback from my customers.

Just watched your video link, thanks gave me a laugh.

  • If you're not into Officeworks frames, It's cheaper here too.

    http://www.gowntown.com.au/frames

    • Yeah, i came across that site too. Extra $20 for the traditional style and $11.00 shipping (for me at least), ends up being more expensive.
Also less options to create your own style frame.

  • Teddy - any chance you can do a better deal than this? There is one vocal guy who seems to be pretty upset with you, but I think you might get some more buyers if you offer a better discount

      Thanks jobler
I would love to but seriously these are the real deal.
I mean they are actually individually handmade to order.
You wont find a better quality frame anywhere for a better price.

My actual customer feedback on quality and price is very rewarding.
and your right a lot of the ozbargain feedback is hard to take.

      All the best
      and thanks again

    Number 1 rule.
Speaking Loudly / Shouting may work in real life when trying to sell something to somebody.

However on the internet, NEVER use bold when writing an entire paragraph. Bold should be used when you want to be BOLD and emphasize something.

  • -1

    Thanks iplau
    I didn't select bold.
I don't think its an option.

Once again as I posted earlier.

I'm learning a lot from my first attempt at this
not sure what else to say

  • You only have to watch Shark Tank and you will be surprised how low some items cost to make, and then these items are sold at inflated prices that even a hot air balloon cant match !

  • Although officeworks have more affordable frames, some of the certificates won't exactly fit into these frames because the certificates aren't exactly A4 or A3 and have specific dimensions. Does anyone know if officeworks offer frames which are more tailored to specific dimensions or any other places to buy more affordable university/tafe frames?

  • Got my frames from an op shop for $1 each for our degrees/phd

  • Same 10% offer over and over. Getting desperate now by signing up a second rep account and posting in full bold text.

  • +1

An offer is an offer. No need to smash an Australian business. So what if it's always a 10% offer and they posted previously. What's your point…..

Buy cheap officeworks if that's your go. No worries.thats not what this customised frame deal is about or should be compared to. imo.

Pmupsinep. A quick look through all your past comments might suggest your a troll mate. You ever got anything g positive to say or you just here to "bash a business" your passive aggressive approach in a lot of your other comments has me thinking you may just be a troll.

And no, I am not in any way related or affiliated to this company. I am a long term Ozbargainer and getting over the crap comments coming from some person making the only comments they post negative. And potentially hurting an Australian business from getting a fair go.

    • +2

      Thanks domshay
I was not sure how to handle all this today.
Its been tough with the negative comments.

If only people knew how hard it is to start a business like this.

Your comments are very much appreciated.
      All the very best

Feel free to leave if you don't like it! As for the rest of your post, it doesn't even deserve a response. I'll keep an eye out for some tissues for you though.

And Douglasb. I hear the local community college is hiring good marketing trainers. You should apply anyway

  • +2

I know everyone doesn't like it because it's not a "Officeworks" frame and costs more. But if you went with that mentality, you would only buy a $500 40" no name brand TV as opposed to buying a quality well known Branded 40" TV for more, but at a bargain price.

I did buy a frame from here on the last deal they posted and I received a good quality frame and received it in good time. I did have a quick look around and they were reasonably priced compared to the others.

I may get down voted for it, but thats my opinion

  • +1

Most people here are cheap asses. They don't appreciate quality vs price.

  • -2

    Very interested.

    I've sent you an email.
