I am Asian, black hair, fair skin. The hair reduced significantly or don't grow back at all. If they do grow back, it takes a long time and thinner. I usually have some in-grown hair around the chin area, since I got the laser and zap them, I haven't got any.

I have really pale skin and light coloured hair and IPL (professional) didn't do squat for me. I had 6 treatments and in the end they actually said that they didn't feel it was working and offered me 50% of my money back. I thought that was very generous as I'd read the treatments would take 3-6 rounds before you'd see a noticeable reduction.

Only buy these if you get a trial period. My girlfriend is a perfect candidate (fair skin/dark hair), but a good Remington one just did nothing. Luckily we were able to get the money back.Makes you wonder what they do with the returns though.
