Free Comic Book Day is an annual promotional effort by the comic book industry to help introduce new readers to comic books and existing readers to new titles and companies.

Through participating retailers, Free Comic Book Day is scheduled on the first Saturday of May each year. If you come along to the Adelaide Comics Centre, be sure to come in costume. The store will be alive with some seriously fun super hero and villainous cosplayers.

If you come with your kids we have face painting, and there are give away gifts with your specially printed copies of free comic books.

It’s a fun day all round.

    Nah it happens every year. The last event the Adelaide store might have done was 2010 though.

    I just wait for the free books to hit comixology these days.
