Looks like a good deal on apple computers.
MacBook Air 13in 1.4GHz i5 4GB 128GB MD760X/B is now $1079.10 link. Does the 2015 version is a better buy for $1259.10 ?

looks like available online and instore - 1 day http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/offers/wk10-mid-season-s…
is the 2015 out yet?
i dont think it is, the 2015 is coming out with Retina display and get this, better battery life, by an hour or so.
it will cost a bomb im sure
ps. writing this on a 2014 Macbook Air 13 inch, after many years of Windows laptops (mostly Sony and Dell) this is the best lve owned so far.

They are on the Apple store, I think only the mba and rmbp 13in have been refreshed.
yeah I was referring to the refreshed one here. Only thing I noticed is 5th gen Intel cpu, faster ssd speed and thunderbolt 2.
I think it also has force trackpad, intel 6000 graphics, and 1 hour more battery life.
I thought they kept the macbook air dispay as non-retina… and the retina display was the new 12" Macbook
As said above, that's the 12" MacBook you're thinking of. And yeah, it goes for rMBP prices.
FYI Apple Store will always price match (not beat) any special elsewhwere. I'd recommend buying from an Apple Store because of warranty and support etc.
Agree. But apple doesn't stock the 2014 models currently discounted at Myer.
They are definitely the 2015 model so go to an apple store and ask for match
how much do you think apple store would price match for?
wouldn't it be more convenient to just price match at a local store like JBHIFI or dick smith?
Price-match = match the price.
@ozhunter:
oops, i mean Beat* the price, i know officeworks beats it by 5%?
No they are not. Look at the clock speed of the models on sale. The base 13" pro is 2.6 but the new early 2015 models are 2.7
The only advantage of buying directly from apple store is their 14-day return policy. Other than that, it is entirely the same. If there is any fault, you don't need to buy from apple to bring it to apple store for a repair.
In my opinion, it even does not matter if you buy it via grey import. I think what apple store staff do is to enter the serial number into the system to see if it is still under warranty and then proceed with the repair although your mileage may vary.
@jasonduong:
I was in the Apple Store couple weeks ago and wanted them to match jb's price on a 15inch Macbook. At first they agreed but then said they couldn't because the system won't let them since it was too much… Went next door tom Myer who price matched it for me..
2015 version is better but not that much better. If you want a 13" Air, $1079 is very good.
Thanks, bought the 2015 one. It is for a gift and can claim TRS.
Is this instore or online only?
