  • So can I buy myself a gift voucher and use it today to get extra discount?

    • Hmmmmm good plan!

  • I don't understand this…do you get the gift voucher after buying something?

    • No its just a gift voucher like any other store be it JB or Myer so someone can redeem it for items

They do offer a free gft voucher after you make 10 purchases but thats not what the above is referring to.

  • $2……whoop whoop.

    • +1

Not a lot but on the smaller items it helps, like GTA4 for PS3 you get 6% off making it $30.95

      • Agreed. If you're buying a number of small items you can save between 5% to 10% overall. And if you're after a big item, just buy the voucher and wait a day to use it and you'll get 10%.

        • why not use the gift voucher today

          • @Smigit: Looking at the T&C it says the voucher won't be active for 24hrs.

            • @crumble: fair enough, I saw the part at the top where they advertise them being available 24/7.

In any event, they have a $2 sale every second week or there abouts so you could easily save them for then.

  • having some issues with the checkout section buying a voucher through moneyback… anyone else having issues?

  • I dont get it guys.
CDWOW are known for being a little bit tricky, and marking up their prices when they give you a voucher.
    why bother publishing their deals?

    • I honestly haven't noticed any trend with them putting up prices to coincide with sales. Yes their prices do change and sometimes go up, but I really don't think its to do with a sale being on. I've been looking at a few items the past week or so and not a single one has been adjusted for the sale.

I get the feeling their prices are more readily set based on when and where they get stock from than anything which is why you sometimes see the same item at two different prices.

      • have a look when this $2 sale finishes. how the prices go down..
At least they did last time I checked.

Been looking to get a blu ray movie and sale or no sale it always end at a similar price (give or take $0.50)

PS: even if this wasn't the case. they have a $2 sale every 2 weeks. why post it.

        • Yeah like I said, I've never really noticed any real trend for that happening.

    • I guess if you buy they voucher then they've secured the sale. It's only up to you on how you want to spend it, even though, it is effectively a 10% off deal.

Also, they may be tricky such that you buy a voucher based on amount X of a game. The next day, you buy the same game with voucher only to find that the amount of the game is now less than X, and hence, you would need to make use of the remaining amount you have remaining from the voucer, which effectively is an impulse buy!
