You might be surprised how powerful these newer Li-ion based divers are. I used a 10.8v(12v MAX) Dewalt drill driver to predrill & sink 1600x stainless screws into a Jarrah deck and it didn't miss a beat. The thing is tiny and weighs nothing but it beats 7 shades of snot out of my old Ni-Cad driver.
Obviously the higher spec models have more outright grunt, but don't write off the smaller and significantly cheaper brothers. Plenty reviews and tests on YouTube.
Agreed - I have this model 14.4v driver and the only thing I go back to corded for is to grind rust off a trailer (and only because I wanted to baby the Dewalt). It's a fantastic and powerful little drill.

Also 14.4v battery seem to be very hard to get. There're plenty of 18v or 20v battery on ebay.

18v vs. 20v MAXJust a marketing difference because there are two ways to measure the same power, try searching eBay for 16v and you might have more luck. Better yet, search model numbers, batteries real and knockoff are plentiful.

drill power is directly proportional to the battery power, 18v is much more powerful than these, but all 3 for 120 is pretty good.
