That's so 80's.
What are these useful for? Besides shoelaces.
So you can put your cordless phone base somewhere convenient, so you can check the answering machine.
Now I have a use for those tin cans I've been saving.
Finally, I can now extend my 56k dial up connection in to the loungeroom.
Rep, would this cable be compatible with my rotary dial phones?
1992 just called, they want their cable back.
for people like me living in ADSL only area, this is still very useful, I just wish it can come up a few days earlier as I spend 3x more to buy a 25M one…..
Never connect an ADSL modem to a long phone cord. You will likely get poor speeds and dropouts. Connect the modem to a short cable near the phone outlet and use a long ethernet cable to your computer; or invest in a wireless router.
Yes, good point. However a problem for those of us who need to hook up a telephone far from the access point after connecting a modem…
Can't you bring the AP to the modem? I've done that here.
Yeah, that's true. In dialup days it didn't really matter (I remember a ~53k connection decreasing to ~49k on a 20m run) which was acceptable for the convenience. But ADSL is likely to be more fussy. Ethernet & WiFi solutions mentioned are much more sensible approaches. My modem is on top of a cabinet wired into a switch and 2 NAS boxes, no other device is in the same room!
will be sold out soon, tony's gonna buy it all and roll out his new NBN strategy….
Copper wire? That's not as cost-effective as string…
This is a nationwide site
You might want to include that you are located at Parramatta since it's pick up only.
Although I doubt the need of these any more with wireless and NBN and mobile services on the increase…
