    Maximum load capacity: 100kg

That rules me out (at least, bloody close)…

    Love a good 3 way.

    • All I can usually afford is just a normal one, so this is looking promising.

      • Make sure you lock-in the position, before you start.

Looks like a handy type of ladder. But I dunno man some if the aldi stuff lately is pretty bad quality I'd be careful about putting my body on the line. A ladder is something you need to be able to trust. Worth a look though.

    • +3

Example:- you slip a rung you 90kg is now 90kg of shock load on the rung below. 100kg rating pfft.

      • +2

I'm guessing the load rating would include shock loading etc, being rated for what a 100kg human would reasonably be expected to do.

Still I wouldn't buy something rated to only 100kgs, a significant proportion of the population are at or over that limit. Domestic rating is usually 120kg, industrial 150kg.

    • When you say "On the line"… do you mean online?

  • what is the weight the ladder itself?

  • +2

Did you guys watch the video?

When using as extension ladder don't use top 3 rungs

That tells me enough lol, I'm going to avoid this one.

Pretty standard recommendation for all extension ladders I've had, more a safety thing that you might lose your balance than an issue with the ladder itself.

      • ^ As hellbound said.

But so many actually sell themselves on the opposite, dangerous practices.

        BTW,
By OHS rules/best-practice, there should be 3 points of contact - Between yourself & the ladder.

looks good. Maybe you should post this one as a deal on Ozbargain.

thanks for this suggestion Millzy - just had a look then bought this one - $10 off for first timer (LOVEDEALS) and free shipping to a Sydney address so $89 all up. I bought and then returned one of the Aldi ladders last time they were on sale - seemed reasonable quality but not high enough to safely access our (not that high) ceilings.

      • How did you get the free postage?

        • dunno - originally said $15 postage but that then disappeared in the final checkout just prior to using the promo code. Didn't stop to ask why :?)

  • Haha great description

OP, how do you store this ladder on your roof, since this ladder is also from ozbargain?

    • Durr… By stacking a pile of Eneloops on top of each other.

    • I take it you mean in my roof.
      Hmmm.
      Didn't think of that
      Any tips?
Maybe I can modify it so I can turn it into a retractable ladder.
Pos vote from me for trying to be funny

    • It was bought before posting on OzB.

  • Just don't store your free Cadbury up there

Just another alternative. I have it for around 2 years, pretty good quality.

      another multifold alternative from bunnings

      $69 http://www.bunnings.com.au/hurricane-2-5m-120kg-multi-purpos…

      • I bought one from Bunnings (different one) a few years back. I should've returned it, but felt "cheap" for thinking it. It's great for the price, but it won't even stand properly, without rocking all over the place.

The old man dealt with it though… used it for a work-bench, and didn't set the depth properly on the 2000w circular saw! Cut through almost all rungs without even knowing. LOL!

  • Does it come with free maggots and fingernails?

Not that I am aware of, but if a deal breaker it probably could be provided.
