Who needs this. I game on a Steelseries Kinzu V2 optical mouse. Optical mouses are way better than laser. :)

I don't know about that particular Steelseries model but I wholeheartedly agree with you on optical > laser; if people negged you for that, they're not too clued up.

Also wired > wireless any day of the week. Still haven't found a wireless gaming mouse that didn't feel like my cursor/reticule was a second or two behind my hand movements.

Not sure what your talking about. I have the G602 (wireless) and i xp no lag whatsoever, even at nearly 1/4 of the dpi of this mouse. dpi race was over long time ago, 8200 max dpi is ridiculous.

        • -1

Probably because you don't know any better and you're used to the weirdness by now.

I had a G700, a R.A.T 9, and an Anywhere MX and the difference between them and my cheap-ass G400S is like night and day (in the G400's favour).

dpi race was over long time ago, 8200 max dpi is ridiculous.

Hence why I use a sensible 4000DPI optical mouse.

Your wireless mouse may have suffered an issue with drift control not working right which that is a common feature on laser mouse. An optical mouse however doesn't have drift control so it doesn't suffer from that.

    • and the kinzu v2 sensor is almost just as bad as the laser.
