Same here at my house in down the road from parramatta 1 bar if i am lucky yet boost/telstra full service.
Yeh Optus reception/speeds suck even in WA. Same 3G modem with Vodafone I get pretty decent speeds.
i was about to say, better off with the vodafone 3gb for $20 from dick
at least you have a chance of using all that 3gb
stuff all chance of using that optus 5gb
hell, think about it, optus coverage must suck if people have better experiences with VODAFONE
Unlock the device and use Vodafone or telstra
How to unlock it? Should I just use bagman?
useful with those amaysim $10 for 5gb deals now on as amaysim uses optus network im pretty sure.
vodaphone have free net on weekend tho i think?
Vodafone free net is only for a couple of months though right ?
Awesome deal, it's $49 w/5gb in an Optus store
Are these locked? I tried checking the link, but didn't see anything about it.
There was a lot of talk about them in the last deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/182234 a good little ozbargainer stopped back in a month after the deal and confirmed it worked with a Telstra sim.
I bought a couple of these last time. Slow but usable.
Actually I don't know why it is so slow. My phone is on the TPG network, which runs over Optus, and it is much faster at Internet stuff. Maybe the Huawei device is the slow thing!
All your clicks have to be approved by the party before the data is sent to you. I hear they are getting more people into that department…..
I got the one from Officeworks. I got it because I got capped (in this day and age lol) and needed some faster internet for a while. The Optus 3G reception in my area is so appalling that I just dealt with my capped speeds. I'm not sure if Optus is better elsewhere, but I'm in a main suburb in Sydney. If I could go back in time, I would not waste my money.
