Three fifths of a ream at least! … at an equivalent price of $4.13 a 500 sheet ream its certainly cheap.

The jury is still out on the quality of the paper, and how many Asian rainforests were destroyed to produce it …. but not withstanding that, yes, good price!

Yep, I think each sheet is guaranteed to contain minimum 3% Orangutan! ;)

Haha I guess you got me on a technicality. At least it's not in the title, but would you like me to change it?

Can 300 sheets be a ream?

      No!

ream: noun - 500 (formerly 480) sheets of paper.

        We're getting reamed!

        • LOL, somebody had to say it! ;)

        Or collective noun.

  • Does anyone know what this paper is like? I know somebody who has a certain affinity to the [writing] feel of 'Double A'…

I currently use this paper….. good price….but I can't wait for the paper to run out…… I hate the quality.

    • so not worth the $ then? the worst thing is when you print off your assignment and by the time you get to the box at uni, the paper is already creased.

      • My pet peeve with cheap paper is when I'm duplexing a large document and two sheets stick together, it's lose-lose; you either get a fun paper jam or it stuffs the order of the pages! :(

If you need more then just ONE ream I guess its worthwhile to check out OW deal on reflex ultra white

    http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Office-Supplie…

$25 for 5 ream = $5 dollar each ream. Beats the quality of these paper I'd think..

I often find Reflex in Woolies supermarkets for ~$5 a ream - only frequently it's unadvertised! :o

If I didn't have stocks at home I'd go for that $25 deal, I'm quite happy with the results I get out of Reflex on both laser & inkjet! ;)

    300 for 2.50, 500 for 4.* (or 5.00?)
I guess it's considered a bargain, lol comes down to quality though, I'd put in that extra 50c to get good quality paper.

  • With regards to GSM, is a certain type of paper more likely to jam? I used some paper in a Samsung printer where it fused to the printer and Samsung refused to touch the printer under warranty.

    • +1

      That sounds odd.
The printer manual/spec's will list the range of papers deemed as suitable for use (typically something like 50gsm - 200gsm).
80 grams/m² is very much the standard for copy paper.

I think it's more to do with all the chemicals that they pump in. My former workplace used Ritmo paper (groan) and it was so brittle that it cracked when folded for envelopes. Coles Smartbuy seems particularly floppy.

  • Is this like the Woolworths essential paper at $4 per 500 pages?
The paper was really bad and the paper seemed really dull compared to reflex…

Reflex Ultra White is usually $24.95 at officeworks, 2500 pages.
You can also try the Paper One and Double A.

I'm not sure about Docucopy though…
It doesn't say anything about super white.
There was this cheap Galaxy paper though, that was brite white. It was pretty good.

    • Double A paper are good I must agree. They seems whiter then the old reflex paper and on par with the Reflex ULTRA White.

i bought them ages ago when OFIS opened $2/ream(500) limit 5/customer, was with my brother so bought 2 cartons ….still trying to finish this shit, i tend to print double sided so its taking ages, and if u look at the paper when its new is not as white but when its older….its not white at all..its like yellow…but for the price when i got it…fair enough.
