  • Been here (not for any deal). Busy place. Used to be a Thai-Laos joint yeears ago (with better food IMO), but the food was still decent this time around. Can't remember what I ordered though lol.

    Nice deal.

erm, maybe ignore my comment considering the following comments (and the fact I've never been here for a 'deal'/coupon/voucher meal. :P

Guys DO NOT go to this place, I got stung so many times here in various deals before I woke up and released where and who it was. They have changed their name, gone through various deal sites constantly to try and switch from bad reviews. The service is disgusting and the 'deals' come with hidden conditions. I had to beg Scoopon at the time for refunds and I was denied bookings and given so much attitude.

    My 2 cents.

EDIT: Here are the Urban Spoon reviews - http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/70/1559881/restaurant/Sydney/CBD…. Best to read the Groupon/Scoopon/Deal reviews as thats what you are in for.

Umm, not true, what food, what drink? …

  • +1

I have been there several times.
Deals from Scoopon or Groupon I don't remember, that were $8 (came with wine or soft drink, but not beer).
This time with beer, the food is not bad, still a good deal.

    • for deal like this, they will allow you takeaway without booking.

      • +1

"Please note takeaway orders will include soft drink instead of wine/beer." Enjoy

I agree, do not go here. They are stingy and make up rules and the food just tastes like a plate of noodles with oil. Their pad thai tastes nothing like pad thai either from other restaurants in Sydney, or Thailand itself. I wouldn't go if you paid me!

  • +2

I recall they had a 5 or 6 dollar pad thai special with a glass of house wine.

Why I have to call to book that I have no idea!

All I remember was them saying "fully booked" non stop. I felt like saying can i have a booking for 1 year later and laugh when they say " fully booked"

    • Ditto!

  • I have been there with 2 previous vouchers. You do need to book, and they don't have a great phone manner. I think first time we got the booking we wanted, second time we had to make it a few days later.
Food was quite good and the service was acceptable.
$9 for the take away option is quite reasonable too.
