You do know for future reference that you could probably have just edited the original post (the one here - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/18182)? ._. Just hit edit to the right of the title of the post (beside View, I think. Or somewhere near there.) =)

And for people who don't want to crane their neck like I did..instructions from the scan are below.
    1. Go to http://birch.com.au/cinebuzz
2a) If you're a member..Log in and 'Edit My Details'.
2b) If you're not a member..Click on Join Now and enter yer details in.
    3. Under Promotional Code, enter MSTOW1124
    4. Present your Cinebuzz card at the movie ticket counter to enjoy $8.50 for adults, $7 for kids.

The brochure does say Townsville, though, so I'm not sure whether that's the only branch this will work for…(since it does say TOW in the code as well, and who knows what that could mean >.>) Anyway, I did enter it to my account (I'm an existing member) and that did work (gave me 'Your account details have been updated'), but I'm not going for a movie any time soon so..

They don't allow you to change the URL to a different server, ie you can edit the link only if is on the same dot com address.

  • Thanks Jennkei for retyping the details so I won't need to kill my neck for this.

I have entered the promo code as well and it seems to registered but I doubt it will work. Did a dummy test (It did say book online) and it's not showing any discounted price for any movie at any cinema. Including Townsville. I am guessing that this is a VERY old promo as it still has Bruno and Transformer on the flyer, which are months old.

Oh, it did say 'or book online' too! I think I got lazy halfway through, lol, thanks for trying that out. =) But yeah, not hoping for much either..-wry-

  • Oddly, the scan omits the important "Conditions." You can see that the bottom of the front has been chopped off and the same applies on the back where the conditions are.

As far as I know, the conditions are that it is:
    1) Only valid at the designated cinema location i.e. Townsville as jennkie and Chinotto pointed out.
    2) Not valid on public holidays, or after 5 p.m on Friday and Saturday. This may be why Chinotto's test failed?
    3) Expires 31/12/2009.

Neg for not including these important requirements, rather than the underlying offer itself which is quite good.

  • My apologies odysseus.
thought it might work every where.
in relation to the 5pm thing - I have used the card at 9pm on Friday and Saturday
