I just picked up a Dell Studio 15 notebook at DickSmith Chadstone, VIC. They are having a 15% off sale until 26/10/2009. For those who haven't seen the studio 15, it has a really nice design, is thinner and lighter than other brands in that form factor and price range, strong build quality, good battery life (WLED screen is up to 43% more efficient as well as more vibrant colour than CCFL), as well as good performance . They also have a COMPLETELY free windows 7 upgrade which I registered for at win7.dell.com. Other brands also have a free windows 7 upgrade but you have to pay $30 P&H. The system I got was:
