Disclaimer - I am a Michael Jackson music fan.
I'm pretty sure there is no chance for me to see a Michael Jackson live show in the future.
I believe this show may be the best thing "closest the pin", certainly better than your average MJ impersonator at the local RSL.
Lasttix have ~$70 tickets for A Reserve for selected showings for "Thriller LIVE" show at the State Theatre at the Arts Centre in Melbourne.
I'm going, and taking my family with mw, and we were able to get cheap seats 6 rows from the front.
"Regular" prices are up to $125 or so per seat, so I think this is a pretty good deal.
I know that MJ isn't everyone's cup of tea, and yes he probably was guilty of abusing children, but his music has always been there for my life, and I'm happy to go and see a modern professional retelling (tribute?) to his songs, which I like 99% of.
Show goes for about 2.5 hours including a 20 min interval, so I'm looking forward to this.
My proposed rating for this show - 2 thumbs up (one in sequined glove)
To be honest, I didn't like this show. Singers and dancers weren't that great. But that's just me with too high expectations I suppose.
