  • Damnnnnn looking at redeeming early July, this would've been perfect!

  • For what its worth, ADL-KUL return = 22500 points (Economy) 40000 (Business) & $303 / $434.29 taxes.

Is it weird that Business Class gets you higher taxes?

    • I believe taxes are always higher in premium cabins

  • And just be aware that these deals may not be worth while for longer haul travel. Ie Perth to Europe is 102,000 points (bus) return, but Per-KL for 48,000 (promo) then KL-Europe for 93,500 is total 141,500 - so better off ignoring the promo and booking as one trip.

    • Yep def no good in that instance, however slightly better in other instances.

      For example:

      Adelaide to Maldives return:

      Normally: 51,000 economy & 93,500 business
      Now: 48,000 economy & 86,750 business (Booking ADL-KUL return then KUL-MLE return.

Just have to play with it a little I guess

    • I have not worked it out, but maybe it would be better to do separate bookings. eg redemption to/from Kul. and paid flight Kul to/from onwards destination? I know that you would have to do immigration and baggage at Kul. but it might be worth it.

    • +2

      There is always one.
