Hey OP, update title to 10th - 11th Jan.

    • +5

      10th - 11th Dec

Offer only available to time travellers ;-)

  • May be able to combine with Get a $20 Repco Gift Card - Spend over $100 from Pages 14&15 of Catalogue; $15 Battery Trade In. Those batteries in catalog are not discounted, just a bonus gift card offer. Worth a try.

    • Usually batteries are excluded from these 25%/30% non sale items promos…

      • +1

I got 30% off car battery last month when the last sale was on. No issues. I even got them to price match JB on a head unit which was apparently less than their cost price as she had to manually accept the price on their system.

        • That's good as my battery finally failed this morning.

      • Rang local Repco…
Said batteries are usually excluded. Pointed out were 30% off last sale - that was the catalog special, not the members weekend.

Asked about $20 gift card on $159 Century battery they recommended for car - did not know of offer. Came back & said I would receive gift card. I pointed out that battery is not listed on p14-15 of catalogue to qualify. Still said I would qualify for gift card. Easy for them to say, you have to redeem online with receipt number & wait up to 6 weeks to find out if advice was correct!

After call, none the wiser. Will ring tomorrow.

Battery price after trade in is $144.
SuperCheap after trade in is $145.
BatteryWorld with no trade in is $145.

        • Do they sell Century batteries?

        • @Sammy2000:
Why would they want to sell me one if they don't sell them?

        • Because I am always feeling misguided by Repco and their deals.
I rang my local store and they told me they didn't sell Century, only equivalent Repco ones.
Reading T&C, trade in looks to be only Repco branded batteries.

        • +1

          @Sammy2000:
T&C: That's why I doubted I would receive a Gift Card on Century purchase, when offer is for purchase of Repco branded battery.

It is a small Repco, closed Sunday. Different stores around Australia may carry different products.

Repco batteries are rebadged Century Store said the same thing.

        • +1

Thinking about it, Repco never said it was a Century - I only knew it was by the Century model number. They confirmed they had looked up Century battery list to determine battery for my car.

They then said it is a Century, & all their batteries they sell under Repco name are Century.

          Rather confusing.

My battery is now showing signs of life, so it may make it to SuperCheap's 20% off sale around 2 weeks time. Hope they don't exclude batteries.

        • +1

          @Sammy2000:
Battery states "Supplied by Century" (same century part number) & was 30% off for VIP cards, but excluded from 25% off for auto club cards.

        • @brucefromaustralia:
          Thank you for the information.
I went with one from Super Cheap as I decided the 3 year warranty was worth the slight extra cost.
Couldn't think of a use for gift voucher.

        • bought a battery today, got the 30% off ( and $15 trade in)

    • Bought batery today 30% off, can combine deals, free gift card by redemption if over $100.

  • Was keen for this but after seeing for non sale items, no thanks.

    • +1

Yup, I signed up to the VIP club last month and then I read the fine print. Their RRPs are astronomical so for the overwhelming majority of products you're probably not getting a good deal at 30% off RRP.

      • +1

IMO oils, filters, and car care products are brilliant at 30% off. Only place I buy Mobil1 from when the sale comes up.

Even with the slightly inflated RRPs as opposed to Super Cheap, the 30% off brings it down to be the cheapest around from any auto store I have been to. I'd never shop at Repco for standard pricing.

        • Agree, specially the ones not so commonly on a 30% special like gear oils, ATFs etc.

        • and seeing as SCA don't even sell mobil 1 anymore, i reluctantly drag my feet into repco.

  • Do they sell car seats/boosters?

    • No I've never seen any.

  • Anyone know if the Thunder Weekender will be 30% off? This would take it down to $385 compared to normal retail of $549.

  • Where does it say 30%? It says 25% for me and "Discount available to all members of RACV, NRMA, RACQ, RAA, RAC, AANT and RACT plus Repco VIP Club Members."

Is there an extra 5% for VIP members somewhere? Just so I know if I can be bothered signing up as I can just show my RACQ card otherwise.

    • Email today to signed up members. This weekend only.

  • Excludes equipment, being the necessary items for a particular purpose. I guess that rules out everything else not on the exclusion list.

    • +1

This happened last time I tried to purchase from them.
EVERYTHING was excluded. I asked the cashier to list what was on sale.

  • 25% off Discount available to all members of RACV, NRMA, RACQ, RAA, RAC, AANT and RACT plus Repco VIP Club.

Excludes catalogue & discounted lines, motor vehicle & marine batteries, equipment, transmissions, engines & cylinder heads, satellite navigation, equipment, gift cards, combo deals, trade purchases. Store stock only. Offer valid Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 January 2015. (Repco site)

So 2 different discounts on same weekend, with different conditions!

  • my local store at Capalaba in QLD, only honours the 25% off for racq members but not the 30% off
despite me being a member and having an email that says 30% off. not impressed with Repco.

    • But hang on it hasn't started yet :S

      • +1

But if asked store staff, they should know the next days sale conditions. But as their site says 25% for VIP membership (my comment a few up), that probably will trump our emails. Very confusing Repco.

  • Just went to store (Mansfield, Brisbane). No problems getting 30% off with VIP card.

    Got 30% off $159 battery PLUS the $15 trade-in, making it $96. ($145 elsewhere)

So unfortunately will miss out on bonus $20 gift card on $100 :-(
(Tried to get trade-in before discount to bring price above $100, but didn't work.)

Somehow my ING card still is giving 5% rebate, so final price $91.50 :-)

Rounds off a great week of bargains for me:
    $3.75 Canon camera (16MP, 8x)
    $39 Samsung camera (16MP, 12x, WiFi)
    Woolies:
    Free Dutch cheese (price error)
Free olives (weight error on delivery)
Free butter (their error on delivery)
    75% off Scottish butter shortbread
    etc

OP - "the drinks are on me"™ (if you can find a frugal bugger like me) ;-)

    • Should have bought an oil filter or anything on p14-15 of catalogue, to bring total over $100 to qualify for Gift Card. Needs to be $100 on 1 receipt.
