Ergonomic Mouse Pad with Wrist Support Blue @ Officeworks - $6 (Normally $16) Instore

390

I was looking for some good mouse pads with wrist support. I found that the Blue/Navy colour has been discounted to $6. This is instore only but plenty of OFW branches have stock. I bought one today and I must say it is quite good for the price. Really thick material, gel/foam is actually comfortable (and not some crappy stuff that you get from Ebay mousepads) and so far it is supporting my wrist really well. No aches or discomfort. Has a thick non stick layer on the base as well. Smells ok. Mousepad surface is smooth. It is navy blue in colour.

From store page:

Make operating your mouse more comfortable with the InSystem Ergonomic Mouse Pad. To enhance your comfort the foam wrist-rest will change to fit the shape of your wrist.

  • The ergonomic mouse pad is specially designed to provide comfort for your wrist and hand.

  • Integrated foam wrist-rest changes to fit the shape of wrists during use.

  • The non-slip rubber base makes sure that the mouse pad grips firmly to workspaces.

  • Helps to reduce stress and pain in your wrist and hand from repetitive use.

  • The mouse will perform more accurately with a mousepad designed for tracking.

  • Appears to be identcal to the one I bought at Kmart for $5.

    • Is $5 everyday price?

      • Appeared to be the normal price.

Problem I've found is after a month the gel leaks through and it's useless.

    • There is 12 month warranty I think.

i gotta ask… how is that worth $16???

it looks like they crap they have at the $2 shop

The stuff at the $2 shops have really thin material and the foam is practically non existent. It's quite nice. Definitely not worth the $16 though.

    • They are a lot better than the $2 shop ones, mine has firm gel not the soft liquid ones or even worse the hard material ones that always flatten down, plus the base neoprene is 2 to 3 times thicker.

I've had one of these for years, no leaking.

    • I've actually tried the top one and it is not very good (used the exact one before replacing it with the OFW one). The OFW photo doesn't do it justice but it is definitely miles ahead of the ebay product. The ebay product is quite thin and smells weird. Also the wrist rest is just a bit of thick plastic filled with air.

    • don't buy those. i got one few month ago and the rubber stunk so bad even after i air it outside for 3 days the whole computer room was filled with burnt rubber smell.

almost every comment on the OW site seem to be about these pads leaking..

    Seen these for cheaper.
Plus overall (IMO) they're a terrible product, gel tends to start getting in the way after extended use (isn't the recommend position anyway, who designed thise things??), mouses with any kind of grip on the bottom tend to cling to the material too much.. Couldn't find a use for my one, it's simply terrible for use with a mouse.

Edit: wait it smells okay? Sold!

This will pair well with my 40% off microsoft keyboard package.

I should have known not to open that in the office in front of people…..

      :)

  • How is the size of these pads? Generous enough so the mouse does not run of the side of the pad when using it?

  • They are rubbish, used 3 and went to the fellows one and have had no issues… http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/fellowes-mous…

You get what you pay for…. the gel leaked in the 3 I had. not worth buying in my opinion.

  • I've been using one of these for the past 6 months at work with no issues. It's good enough that I tried to find one for home yesterday, but Bondi Junction Officeworks only sells about 5 mousepads, and this isn't one of them

Grabbed one from OW on Port road. Shelf price was $16 but scanned at $6. Sweet.
