Thanks for this. Got one as my wife squeezes from the middle and drives me nuts :)

lol at the end of the week, just grab the crimped end, hold the lid on and squeeze - forcing the toothpaste back up into the middle. I just saved you $15!!!

  • I seriously can't work out if I want this or not… it's a total of about $15 inc shipping. Can you even buy things like this from Bunnings or from any store?

You can invent one yourself. It's call the hand.

      well I lol'd :)

I lol'd too… but only because I was wondering whether this guy had a girlfriend or not ;)

get a pair of scissors, cut the toothpaste tube in the middle, put toothbrush inside and get some out.

      lol

It will be great for my 5 years old. He is having a bit of trouble squeezing the right amount out and mess up the bathroom. This is also a good source for spreading infection. Each time you use, you will leave gem onto the lever. Think of cold sore, and nasty oral bacterias that could contribute to tooth caries.

    • +2

wont your 5 year old wipe the edge of the machine with his toothbrush anyway? or will he leave a little bit of toothpaste hanging? (which may fall on the floor). Making this dispenser redundant either way?

I hate to say it, but this product is for lazy idiots. We're slowing turning into fat Americans.

    • +1

I dont think its about being lazy (or an idiot). Its the convenience of it. Its like using a vacuume cleaner instead of a broom and dust pan.

      • I think it's about being Americans!

        Just kidding, of course :)

Hahahaha.. how is brushing your teeth with something that gets every last bit of the toothpaste out of the tube lazy? ..

      waits for reply

Every family needs one of these ;-)

Well, Christmas isn't too far away and I thought this could make a quirky yet useful (kinda) gift. So I got the max per customer, i.e. 5. Don't judge meeeeeeeee!

P.S. This complements my electric toothbrush. Now I just need a mechanical arm to hold it for me…

That video is a great start for the weekend LOL!

    • I bought a few as Chrissie pressies too! The only thing I'm worried about is the toothbrush head of my electric toothbrush. Not sure if the head is too small and the toothpaste will end up missing it…

      • In the video they use an electric toothbrush.

If you purchased one in the USA it came with a free electric toothbrush.

I think it is safe to say it will be fine.

    epic lazyness…

    • Not really lazy, would just save you heaps of time, probably would get more out of the toothpaste tube as well.

  • I'm holding out for the automatic toilet roll dispenser….

  • I cant believe how hard people find it to not make a mess. What a way to start the morning when you spew toothpaste out the tube all over the place. Seriously? How hard can it be.

COTD, as they do for a few weeks after most of their 'pressure cookers', are selling cheaply imported 'as seen on tv' stuff off the alibaba website and this toothbrush thing is just one of them. Must've cost $2ea for a container load!

    • +2

I don't have any myself, but I think kids would be prime candidates for making a mess.

    • Yeh must have cost COTD a pittance, as they've been selling on Ebay for the same price or less sent from China for ages.

      • The ones i see on ebay are selling for $20

        Thats $5 more

Can you guys please comment when you get the dispenser. I can't wait to hear the reviews. I bet there's more wastage then the old fashion rolling the tube. You guys are going to miss the fun of sqeezing the last bit of tooth paste and only to find out there's another 2 last bits. The thrill~!!!!

    • Can you guys please comment when you get the dispenser. I can’t wait to hear the reviews

I have had it a few days now and think its great.
Getting the toothpaste tube opening in the suction/dispenser part is a little tricky as you push it it into a soft rubber so there is a air tight seal.

In terms of function there is no flaw.
You push your toothbrush in and toothpaste comes out leaving no mess on the dispenser.

I bet there’s more wastage then the old fashion rolling the tube

I still have half a tube left so will be a while before i can test this part out.
I did find a very empty tube when i was cleaning a drawer out and it was not able to extract any extra toothpaste.

I am interested to see how much waste there will be once the tube is emptied.

  • So i just ordered one.

I dont really see this as a "lazy american device"
Sure it is an as seen on tv product but i think it has some legitimate uses aside from simply making you lazy.

I have someone who always hides the tooth paste in a drawer somewhere so this will prevent me having to search for it every morning.
Plus it looks like the toothpaste dose is fairly small so should prevent accidentally using too much.

As for the video where they say it helps prevent you squeezing mass amount of toothpaste out, for the elderly (especially with arthritis) and children i can see it might be an issue.

As long as it uses suction cups to stick to the wall, not glue i will be happy.

I am interested to see how it will compare to squeezing the toothpaste out by pulling the tube through a closed drawer.
