    • it should automatically download later, i got the same issue and waited for 15 minutes before it start downloading.

      • Thanks for your reply mate. In my case I have a feeling it might be something related to my country not set to Australia in Google wallet though an AUD card was linked. When I changed the country to Australia and tried immediately it was still the same, but when I tried the next day it went okay. Maybe the country change needed time to reflect across Google Play.

  • Awesome deal, especially considering that each individual track costs a ridiculous $2.19.

Thanks OP - Foo Fighters is the winner here, if you haven't checked out the HBO Sonic Highways TV Series yet, do it! its one of the best music doco's I have seen - and this album is the companion to it. Not normally a big Fooies fan, but Dave Grohl just has talent coming out his proverbial (he wrote and directed the show!) One of the greats of our time.

Thanks OP downloaded a few of those good find

  • Am I missing something here… Can this only be 'streamed for free' and not actually downloaded to your device?

    • Can be downloaded. Buying this for free is different from Google Music All Access. See my reply to an earlier comment.

  • FLIPPING AMAZING! THANK YOU!

  • Thanks mate! Calvin Harris and Foo Fighters now on my phone.

  • You need the google music app to listen to them, right? I remember I dl'd something else for free (maybe a classical album or something), but had to install something to download it, so I didn't. Still got everything from the play store though.

No, you can download the albums in MP3 and then copy them wherever you like. I did it via a web browser/PC. Might be different on a phone.

      • Ok cool I might access the play store on my computer then. Cheers.

    • +1

err yeah but you can also access the mp3s directly if your device is rooted

      data/data/com.google.android.music/files/music/

The Veronicas' CD is also really fun.

  • Thanks so much! I nearly paid for The Veronicas, the other night and the new Pink Floyd… beauty! I'll consider these lovely Christmas gifts, from the OP! :D

  • all these artists are signed to sony music entertainment. hack related freebies?

  • +1

    Where's the free U2 album?

  • +1

I know this is free but will I be spammed by phone calls left right and centre just like the previous Universal Music/Fairfax (fake deal because they harvested our phone numbers).

    • You just use your google plus account. No entering phone numbers etc.

  • I do not know who most of these artists are. I am old.

    • Just listen to the track previews from the store and see if you like any songs and if you do get the album.

Lots of these albums have a single track (or more) on the radio at the moment, e.g. Pharrell Williams' album has the "Happy" song that is everywhere atm.

Even if you "buy" them all you don't have to listen to them or download them.

  • Do they ever do free movies?

    • They just did xmen or something last week for Chromecast owners

  • Where does it save to on the phone? I have a galaxy s4 but can't seem to find were it was saved to. I want to be able to drag and drop it onto my computer desktop

  • do I need to have a credit card to get this, sorry if that sounds silly as it is free, but I have never used Google Play
