MURPHYS: Coors is one of the most popular beers in the United States, it's a premium, refreshing beer light in colour & body, and high in carbonation with subtle fruit notes of apple and banana.

You had me at $29.90, but lost me at "high in carbonation with subtle fruit notes of apple and banana".

LOL. yeah some of these descriptions you read on these things by these connoisseurs are just funny. There was some other one here that someone posted on wine I think that was gushing about some "taste of menthol" or something. It cracked me up.

I am not that refined. I like something, or I don't like it. And within the like it depends on the time, what I feel like, weather, what might go with what I like… I can't go any further into detecting various smells… :P

    • Pretty sure the abundance of water will override any subtle fruit notes.

      • I wonder if the Coors plant manager saw the review and there was a "Damn it Bubba, did you drop all the leftover fruit punch from the christmas party in the vat again?" type moment

Sorry. Appears it is probably a near best before sate in small quantity - available at Kingsford. Double Bay n Alexandria showing 41.90/case!!!

  • Several places near me in Brisbane for "$29.90 per case of 24 $16.99 per pack of 6 $3.79 per bottle (in store)"
Probably get 4 for swilling in the 40 degree temps over xmas

    Then again, http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/306/837/?view=beer&…

Maybe stick to the $30 30 can slabs of hammer and tong for cheap swill for the masses

That's Coors light. That said I don't think the lager fares any better… :)

Anything with the term "light" in the name or "mid" is an auto-fail for me…

Yep, I can hear the Family Feud sound….Babow.

  • I've had it many times when overseas in the U.S. & Canada and have to say I quite like it. Coors, Old Milwaukee, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Miller and most of the rest including many of the (often stronger) Canadian beers, which I tend to like more. Not common that Aussies will approve or accept American beers in general IMO, though being partial to Aussie beer is PERFECTLY understandable! Was most interested to hear of this offer and disappointed doesn't seem to be available in NSW. Doh!

    • Enjoyed the Pabst Blue Ribbon in the big arse cans when we OzBargained them for $20 a slab earlier in the year.

      • LOL, brought back memories of being over there in younger years!
We used to hit it pretty hard in those glory days! ;o)

The hangovers were far more forgiving back then :oS

Just as happy I've cut WAY back though TBO.

        Cheers Rod.
