hmm I personally dont think anything to special. The graphics card is nothing to special (based on reviews on the net), aswell as intel being favoured more then the amd cpu.

Better buy is a laptop at MSY for 680 with the t4200, 4 gig ram etc (except 4500M Graphics).

However, as I said before, that graphics card still wont play games really, so its neglible (IMO)

  • The Lenovo G550 295835M (T4200/3GB/250GB/15.6+/-/CAM/DVDRW/VHP) is probably better value at $679-$750 without having to go through the cash-back process:

    http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=295835M&spo…

Neither are good for gaming. Here's notebookcheck's stats on the two integrated graphics chips:

    L500/00U - ATI Radeon HD 3100 3DMark03=3000 3DMark06=1183
    G550 - Intel 4500M 3DMark03=1687 3DMark06=515

On the other hand, the T4200 CPU has a lead on the QL-65:

    L500/00U - AMD QL-64 (same as Ql-65, but no HT link) 3DMark06CPU=1466 SuperPi 32M=2759
    G550 - Intel T4200 3DMark06CPU=1718 SuperPi 32M=1800

So the G550 is better for most things, the L500 is better for games… although frankly if you're planning on playing games, you don't want either of these notebooks. And the G550 is much cheaper at MSY…
