OCT50

I am signed up to this website - they put out a Flash Sale last month and it appears the coupon code OCT50 still works. 50% all products. I've been using the training for a few months now and it's fantastic! The scenarios are very useful and the Outer World topics are really good ( http://www.jbstraightline.com/product-category/outer-world/ )

Supporting someone who has scammed heaps of people out of their livelihood & still refuses to pay them? No thanks.

    From wiki:
As of January, 2014, Belfort had paid only $11 million of his $110 million restitution debt. Prosecutors said that he had fled to Australia to avoid taxes and conceal his assets from his victims.

In May 2014, Belfort said he planned to pay off the remaining restitution through speaking fees by the end of 2014: "My goal is to make north of $100 million so I am paying back everyone this year.”

While Belfort also claimed on his website and elsewhere that "100% of the profit" from his books and the Wolf of Wall Street film was being turned over to victims. In June, 2014, spokesmen for the U.S. attorney said Belfort's claim was "not factual."

BusinessWeek reported that of approximately $1.2 million paid to Belfort in connection with the film, Belfort had paid only $21,000 toward his restitution obligations.

By September, 2014, the amount Belfort had paid toward his restitution debt still stood at $11.6 million

I agree. Don't think supporting this person is appropriate.

This man should not be making money when he refuses to pay back those he ripped off.

    • I can't believe that people actually want to hear what this guy has to say. He was an out of control scammer who pocketed the life-savings of ordinary people all the while living it up on the proceeeds.

Says he's repented and repaying them……doesn't look like it, even if he does eventually do so, he can't fix the trainwreck he's made of their lives. If invested properly, what would that $110M be today? That's what he should be repaying.

We don't need scammers like this evading justice in Australia, kick him out.
And yes, it's definitely not appropriate for Ozbargain.

Someone was promoting his speaking tour earlier this year on LinkedIn, they got kicked from the group for spamming this guys wares.

So what is the normal price ?

Something like this can only end in tears.

      Best to AVOID

  • I've actually been to one of his speaks in Sydney a few months back for free

it was quite good actually as i havent seen the movie prior to his speaking

At the end his whole speaking session is actually just a giant pitch to go to his other shows / full day trainings with videos of testimonials

go if you get free tickets, just youtube if you want to be motivated

the thing that bugged myself and my sales team when we went was that he was talking and referencing ALOT about his strategy to sell, "the straight line" throughout his presentation, but in the end he only touched on the subject instead, promising to reveal it during his full day seminars/tutorials instead

    that bugged me the most..

Ninja, that's how most if not all these 'free seminars' in how to (insert what you want to gain here) are run.

It's the age old bait n date, they promise to reveal the thing that you want, but only ever scratch the surface so that they can sell over-priced seminars/workshops/courses etc that invariably don't deliver on the expectation they set - sell the sizzle not the sausage.

  • Should I feel bad if I go see this guy given what he has done or should I feel bad that I bought a R/C Car from Dick Smith for $0.01….

a guy that deliberately screwed over gullible people shouldn't be supported.
