  • Hey guys.
I just tried it and you dont need to enter credit card or paypal details.

    This is what i did:

    1. Create an account with Bandit.fm
    2. You can login to the account and apply a voucher
    3. Enter the voucher number
    4. You've got instant $10 credit

    Enjoy!

  • $40 credit != $10/month for four months. Awesome offer though!

    • ill update the post, ta.

  • is Bandit.fm web radio or music downloads?

    • DRM free music downloads.
      You get 320kbps Mp3s

  • nice one , just registered and I can see my $10. Does the monthly $10 automatically get credited? (didnt need to enter paypal details)

    • I presume so :)

  • Cool.. thanks for that. Gives me a chance to check it out! :)

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks. I got the confirmation email almost instantly but my wife didnt (hasnt gotten it for about 10 minutes now). Wonder if they have stopped it

    • Just got the confirmation email. Took about 1 hour

  • I have made 2 accounts. ….is that bad?

    • haha do they both have $10 credit ?
btw ive got 2 accounts as well (one of them from the last $20 bandit offer) ;)

      • yes, they do. promise I won't make anymore. Although my wife and 2 kids might

    • Bad or not, doing so goes against the spirit of the offer since after the first account you probably can't consider yourself a "new member". It also prevents others from legitimately taking up this offer since there are only 5000 vouchers available. If you're going to go to the trouble of registering more than one account you might as well pirate the music. :)

      • yep, normally do that, but thought that i might owe the industry a few dollars. (so to speak)

  • Can anyone confirm that this is still working ?
    Thanks

    • i just signed up a few minutes ago and it worked.

  • +2

I wish bands had 'donate' buttons on their websites

    Great find infinity89

Go to http://www.bandit.fm/redemption to redeem the voucher after registering.

    • ill add this link to the description, ta.

  • Just did it fine. You don't have to wait for an email confirmation.

After applying the voucher, you can check My Account - Credit Balances and instantly see if you got $10 :)

Quick glance, one MP3 on the front page was $1.63, so you can get a few MP3s :) free, per month :)

  • Just tried it, all good. Got confirmation email straight away. Thanks!

  • I can confirm you do not need to register CC or Paypal details to redeem the credit.

    • Looks like they either closed the loophole or all the 5000 vouchers have been used.

  • Does anyone know if the credit expires at the end of each month? Can I save up for a full album (costing $14 for example) over two months?

    • +2

it expires at the end of each month, so you cant save up for the full album. But instead you could buy half the songs individually in one month and the rest in the next ;)

  • Wouldn't work for me. Perhaps the 5000 spots are taken…

  • I wonder if you can team up the offers :)

Use the $10 this month to buy a cheap album (or offset the price of an album) and get another $20 credit :)

Similar to what pibloktoq did :) on that offer

I guess everybody wins :) They get a few more dollars for stuff they already hold. We get to enjoy some more music cheaply … they also get more advertising :)

I'm also realising, if one wants a few albums, and was prepared to pay for them before joining Bandit … it can be much more cost effective to use the $10 a month as an album3 offset, rather than just getting 4 of say 20 tracks, per month, for free …

eg one album I'm looking at is $14.69 … with 20 tracks (most at $2.20) … individually the tracks are $44 … I won't end up getting the entire album even after 4 months …

    Hmm :P

    • read the fine print - the album cannot be purchased with credit from vouchers in whole or in part.

  • Just went to make a purchase and my $10 credit disappeared? :S

I've emailed them to ask if they can fix it … perplexed

    • Same here! Have you had a response?

    • Wow, WTF… my credit has completely disappeared here too. I've made no purchases.

      • Time to test their servers?

        • Well, I hope it's something to do with their servers rather than them revoking the offer or some other dodgy business! Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their service, though, does it?

          • @[Deactivated]: I was thinking about the maths the other day. 5000 x 40 (10 x 4 months) = $200,000!!! Maybe someone at Bandit.fm also finally did the maths too!

  • Not working for me sadfase.

  • Just got another email from Take40.com with reference to this offer. Maybe its back up again, if it didnt work last time maybe give it another go :)

  • not working for me :S

no word from them yet, either.

Maybe they'll fix things up or just credit us the $40 :P

  • They just emailed me back. One of the terms and conditions for the credit, was, register your credit card or paypal as the preferred method of payment.

So, they've asked me to fix that up on my account, then email them back so they can fix my account :)

    • Are you going to?

      • ? :)

        • Confirming they have fixed my account. I'm unsure if they've fixed my account specifically or everybody's. I just received an email saying, if I put in my credit card or paypal details, the credits will be reinstated.

I already put my details in before this email and the credit was there when I checked :)

(Also they were very polite about it all; saying that they hadn't drawn enough attention to the need to put in credit card or Paypal details … very nice of them :) )

  • didnt work for me :(
