thanks,
Nero! That brings back memories…
I recently had to burn a disc for the first time in ages. I tried CDBurnerXP, which used to be pretty bad… It did a great job.
If you want the best burning software, you can't go wrong with Nero. If you want to save money and still be able to do pretty much the same, use CDBurnerXP instead. burning cd, dvd, audio cd, data cd, etc. check out CDBurnerXP.
If you really need a movie viewer (and don't like VLC), and need a disc cover designer (and don't like the free ones) and really need a movie/audio converter (and don't like hand brake), then Nero's probably a must. Nero (supposedly) includes a kitchen sink and a free set of steak knives in there somewhere. For straight burning needs you can also get free copies of Ashampoo that aren't too bad. You need to go back on their site and unsubscribe from all the newsletters they sign you up for, or use a second email address, but the product itself is decent.
99% of people would be using a cracked version. Why don't they charge something like $2.00, I'm sure most people would pay that rather than bothering with torrents and patches and cracks and viruses.
How can this be discounted to $70.?
No wonder piracy exists
I miss nero - it was replaced by Cyberlink by most OEM sellers, but the Nero had so many more utilities and tools - when CDs and DVD would hang you could dive closer to the metal and find out why.
For those querying the price, it is a little more than just a burning software. It has streaming, authoring, utilitites, 4k capability, encryption, personal cloud via mobile apps conversion, authoring, "air-burn" [from IOS and android] - it's pretty much a Swiss army knife of media.
The feature I have always liked, andwhy I would consider if I was still using windows is their "securdisk", where error-correcting redundancy is built into the burn so scratched and scuffed disk can be read for longer than one would expect. They do a 15 day free trial:

Who even uses optical discs these days?
Most people I know have gone back to the traditional sense of 'burning' CDsthats right! who even uses keyboards these days? We are already using mind waves to write posts….
